Overall this is a very good device. I use this for streaming tv etc from tp-link router to samsung smart tv via ethernet cable.
Would have given 5 stars if there any instructions included in package, although it is very easy to set-up without

Blows any built in TV software away. Ability to stream games directly from my pc onto the tv. Can sideload any apps you like. 4K upscaling is excellent.

This thing works better than any streaming device I've used. I almost shaved a point off for the ridiculous triangle shaped remote though. Feels weird in the hand.

This is extremely fast, and the menu is well organized. I also use Apple TV, which is great. However, this provides a little more flexibility and customization. The gaming experience is a nice benefit.

Have been trying to get one of these boxes for a while. Finally got one from Best buy. They seem to be able to get the hard to get items not available in other online stores. Even Amazon. Kudos to them.

I bought this device for two main reasons
1) set it up as my plex server
2) watch 4k (HDR, Dolby vision) content from streaming platforms.
The plex server part worked pretty well.
However this device still has only HDMI 2.0 port to connect to TV. So as soon as I set the video to Dolby vision, it set the refresh rate to 30Hz instead of 60Hz. For a device in this price range, this is definitely not acceptable. If this is too technical for you, you can just google refresh rates and see why a 60Hz refresh rate is a must.
Also the Android TV UI is just the worst UI, I've come across for TVs. Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV have better UIs.
I am going to return mine. Will consider it for a plex server if they update it in the future and if they lower the price.

This product is a great way to get all your streaming services on one device that can be easily transported. I purchased this item for travel purposes and look forward to my first boring night in a hotel to use it.

For my streaming needs, Ive tried Firestick, Firecube, Tivo Stream 4k (4×), nvidia shield tv and now nvidia shield pro. Thiis is the best of the lot followed closely by Fire Cube.

I’ve owned this for a little over 6 months. At first I was extremely happy with it but now I think it was a waste of money. At first I was using it for SteamLink to stream games to my tv. It worked mostly okay but after it disconnected my Xbox controller it would not automatically detect it after — I would need unplug the dongle every time. Then Nvidia pushed out a software update that made it basically unusable. It couldn’t even stream shows, forget about gaming! I was able to roll back the update but it was pretty technical, took up a couple hours, and I was lucky I had the required cables on hand. All that aside I was still relatively happy with the purchase but about a month ago this thing started having issues where the Wi-Fi fails more often than it works. It’ll say it’s connected to the network but there is no internet connection. Meanwhile every single other device on the network is working perfectly fine. Sometimes it’ll stream a show for 10-20 seconds then buffer for at least 30, then repeat. We’ve gone back to using our Roku instead (which has never ever given us any trouble) and I just have to head to the basement if I want to play games.

This thing is rock solid! There's not the kind of buffering that occurs with other streamers. you can hide it, too, so you never know it's there until you turn it on.

I bought this for streaming and maybe a little light gaming. It was however very unstable, buggy, locked up and crashed often. I had to return it. Big disappointment.

At first the new shield software had a few bugs and didn't work well with the but they worked on it and it's finally working well. Wish it came with a controller. Would be more worth the $200. I feel it's more of a $170 Vale to be honest. If your just streaming only get the $150 tube version.

I love this product it does more than I had hoped. I have had a Roku Player and a RVeal Player. I should have purchased this box first. Worth every penny. Skip the Fire Stick and buy this.
