Serves its purpose well! Would be better if the "Netflix" button on the remote could be reprogramed to another option and would be nice to have a mute button as well.

The nvidia shield TV does everything you need from a media streamer. It upscales content very well. It's fast and has access to the google.play store for all the apps you need. Nvidia provide's updates and adds new features. It's over powered for what it does but it will last for years.

I have used quite a few different streaming devices in the past and I can say for certain that this one is the best. I feel as though this device has more options as to what you can do with it in terms of streaming, gaming, and even casting from other devices.

Buy the Nvidia Shield!!! No need to get into all the specs. Here's why..... NVIDIA shields has licenses!!!! I can watch Dolby Atmos/Vision on Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max, VUDU and Movies Anywhere. Android Tv cant get you Disney+ or Vudu. Not to mention quality technical support from Nvidia for years to come. I love my Hisense U8g Android tv because it also recognizes Amazon HDR10+ content The shield is faster than the native apps and it it has Bluetooth remote so you don't have to be pointing right at the device. It customizes very nicely on the home screen. I'm not extremely technical but I was even able to find a free app that would display my security cameras on the tv if I wanted to take a quick look on the shield. This thing works and I'm sure it does miracles for gamers but I can speak to that. For the average consumer wondering if the shield pro is worth it, ABSOLUTELY!!!

I recieved this to replace my streaming stick and I have to say the fact that you can play games, watch all streaming services, as well as additional services. I would recommend getting a hard drive for it if you are using it with any storage heavy solutions (games, movies, etc...)

This is hands down the best home entertainment device I own. To be able to play anything I throw at it is amazing. I use it for my lossless 4K remuxes, old school gaming and streaming games from my PC.

This is still the best Android TV streaming device on the market. The controller is backlit which makes it easy to use in a dark room. Nvidia provides very long software support. The AI upscaling is a great.

Ive had firetv stick and firetv box and the nvidia shield out does them both not even close. Faster speeds, faster uploads and downloads. Navigating thru screens in a breeze and just the ease of using it has been incredible. I just wish i had bought it sooner

This is an insanely fast and powerful device. I would consider this the Rolls Royce of streaming devices. It has plenty of storage and the power to be a Plex media server. The layout and expansion options are excellent and so is the customer service. NVidia did this one right!

This is an interesting device. On one hand it is expensive and hasn't been overly upgraded in years. On the other, there is nothing in it's class. If you want a media player, you can't do better. This is quite a powerful little box here and let me be clear on something, I see lots of un-official 3rd party Android TV boxes online but I couldn't take a chance using them because I don't know how stable they are so I spent the extra money for the shield to be sure I have full support and compatibility. Ive purchase a couple of those boxes and my overall experience was negative. Not with this Nvidia shield. The Nvidia comes with the updated CPU, the Nvidia Tegra X1 chip that’s 25 percent faster, 16GB of internal storage and 3GB RAM.You are getting a device that can stream in 4K HDR, with both Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio decoding. Overall, great device.

Shield is fantastic!! I have it playing 4K content and it looks beautiful. All kinds of apps you can add to make it your own. Only thing I dont like is the main page, lots of ads.

I was interested in buying a shield since the first model but I still think it's too expensive compared to similar products on the market, even though it's still the best android tv box. For being a 2019 product, it can't handle Asphalt 9, a several years old Android game, that make me realize that it's performance is not as good as it is announced if I compare it with the ultra low price moto e 2020 that I got for 60 bucks that I'd able to run the aforementioned game. The other drawback specially for shield tv core model is the excessively low storage, 8 GB total, that can be upgraded with a micro sd as internal storage but then you lose the external storage option to play with emulators and media easily. Also the 16 GB of storage of the 'pro' model is not a substantial improvement but the 2 usb ports allow you to increase both internal and external storage. For the positive side of the product the AI upscaling is incredible and make your old nineties series look great on 4k upscaling. Also emulation works perfectly up to Sega dreamcast. My advice, if you really like to play with android devices you're going to have a good time with the shield but don't expect a good performance device with 2019 standards. Spend the extra 50 for the pro model if you don't want to be greatly disappointed.

This is the best Android TV box out there and I have tried many different kinds of streaming sticks stream boxes over the years and this has the best performance but it is costly for that performance but if you can afford it it is great and the AI's upscaling it is amazing

Awesome android player! Way better that a firestick or google player! I have all 3 and this device is far superior!!!

Amazing device. Fast and easy to use. The AI upscaling is in a league of its on. In my opinion, it is the only streaming box to own. The remote on the other hand is a bit too sensitive and I recommend tweaking the backlight settings so it doesn’t turn on every time you move it.

I have replaced all my fire sticks with this device. Much faster and no more strange commercials about things I talk about. tv

The Nvidia Shield TV is an outstanding product for what it is. I originally had a firestick HD for streaming, a Steam Link for connecting to my PC, and a Raspberry Pi powered retro console, which as you can imagine, became very cumbersome due to all of the cables and devices. All of these were functional on their own, but with the Shield TV I was able to condense them down nice and cleanly. It's far more reliable than the Firestick, and works just as well as the dedicated Steam Link device. I've had no trouble connecting any of my bluetooth controllers to it, making gaming instantly accessible. The TV remote that comes with this model is really nice. It has a really good weight to it, and the buttons light up when in motion, so it's really easy to know what buttons you're pressing even in the dark, not to mention those times where it falls down and you can't see. All in all, a fantastic product I can't recommend enough.

I cannot recommend the Shield TV highly enough. There is not a better streamer on the market (unless you're locked into the Apple ecosystem). It's fast, and the AI upscaling to 4k is fantastic. Recently updated to Android 11.
