The Nvidia Shield TV is an outstanding product for what it is. I originally had a firestick HD for streaming, a Steam Link for connecting to my PC, and a Raspberry Pi powered retro console, which as you can imagine, became very cumbersome due to all of the cables and devices. All of these were functional on their own, but with the Shield TV I was able to condense them down nice and cleanly. It's far more reliable than the Firestick, and works just as well as the dedicated Steam Link device. I've had no trouble connecting any of my bluetooth controllers to it, making gaming instantly accessible. The TV remote that comes with this model is really nice. It has a really good weight to it, and the buttons light up when in motion, so it's really easy to know what buttons you're pressing even in the dark, not to mention those times where it falls down and you can't see. All in all, a fantastic product I can't recommend enough.

I cannot recommend the Shield TV highly enough. There is not a better streamer on the market (unless you're locked into the Apple ecosystem). It's fast, and the AI upscaling to 4k is fantastic. Recently updated to Android 11.

I have my external hard drive connected to it and use it just for a plex server. When I'm away from home I can watch anything I have stored. It's a really great device and it is very powerful.

I bought this as an upgrade to my previous streaming box and this thing does not disappoint. It's very snappy and fast, the UI is the best I've seen on Android TV and the picture quality is amazing. The remote lights up and you can change the backlight level!!!!! This thing is worth every penny and I love using it!!

I bought Nvidia to replace the Amazon Fire TV 2nd gen. It is much faster in performance. The picture quality is much better. I like it better than the Amazon Fire TV. It is as expensive as the Apple TV but more versatile. It allows you to use 3rd party apps. When running Youtube, occasionally the screen starts to flicker, goes blank and the Nvidia crashes and then reboots itself. This is a glitch and has happened a few times. I hope the Nvidia makers are aware of this and can fix it. I took a star away from the Nvidia rating because of its remote and price. The remote is sleek but is dysfunctional and hopefully be improved in the future. The remote has a big red Netflix button at the bottom. I find that button annoying and useless. I never use it to launch the Netflix anyway. It is so sensitive that even a brush of a feather will launch the Netflix app in the middle of something I am watching like a Prime video or Youtube, suddenly the Netflix gets launched and would not let me get out of it by pressing the return button. The other thing is that the rewind and forward buttons are below and above the play/pause button instead of being side by side. I have to fumble with them to get them right. In this price range, this should have been better. Overall, I like the Nvidia.

Great media player! Very quick and responsive. Lots of options for playback as it's essentially a google TV with an NVIDIA processor. Can even upconvert lower resolutions to 4k for a slightly better picture. Two USB ports are nice for those who plug in media. I do wish it had a second HDMI port(one for sending audio to receiver, one to send video to the TV, for those who have older receivers. I don't use this to its full potential as we don't play video games, but there are some pretty cool things you could do in that direction as well. Biggest annoyance, and only reason for taking off a star is that it doesn't come with a stand! A $200 media player, especially with the stand pictured in product photos and Nvidia doesn't include it, wants another $30 for a piece of plastic.. If you buy this, plus the stand and the game controller - it becomes a nearly $300 unit... Just a bit over the top when you know Nvidia is making these for pennies on the dollar!

Great product and amazing processor. If your really enjoy gaming the Nvidia Shield is the only choice for streaming hardware. I only returned for Roku Ultra HD because Spectrum TV App not available and I prefer not to side load apps. Otherwise a very excellent product.

As I frequently use a Roku, I wanted to give this device of try as I had heard about how beefy and fast it can be. It is definitely more powerful than a typical streaming device. I have had some issues with apps themselves. But I am not sure how that relates to this device. I continue to use a Roku on some TVs. Looking forward to testing how this works with 4K

I own everything from Sling TV 4k to Roku TVs and have owned every Fire TV device at one point in time, also a few Android boxes. This is by far the most powerful streamer device I have ever owned. But wait, there's more! It's a full fledged Plex server as well as a capable gaming device. Adding additional storage is simple as plugging in a USB device and formatting, which is easy in itself because the device gives you a notification that external storage is connected, click the notification an boom, ask you if you would like to format it as system storage. The AI upscaling is cool, it definitely makes lower resolution media look better. You can pair any bluetooth headset, keyboard, mouse or speaker you want. The interface was my favorite until I got the new Google Chromecast TV device, which I highly recommend if you don't need all the extras and just want an awesome streaming experience.

Super easy to use! Been a muli-year firestick user and had no problem transitioning over. The AI upscaling helps with our projector since we have a large room and our screen is larger than the recommended size (120 in to our 200 inch screen)

This thing is the centerpiece of my home entertainment system. Powerful and handles my 4K content easily. Love the new remote, so much better than the older one. Love remote finder so when my kids misplace it I can find it. This thing packs a punch.

We've used the NVidia Shield TV Pro for approximately a year now and conclude this is the best streaming player we've ever used. The upscaling feature is awesome - it works and really helps increases clarity. You can really see a major difference! Did I mention that it extremely versatile - we can stream using virtually any streaming service available, or we can plug in a USB or connect to our Plex Media to stream our library of videos. And to top it off, it has access to play many of todays popular games! This really is the best streaming device available today, and even at it's higher price point, worth every penny for what you get.

I had the last model shield and sold it to get the new one. Main reason, wanted dolby vision with atmos to pass to my 2016 oled tv. (the 2016 didnt allow pass atmos through arc). Why upgrade? The AI for upscale of 1080p content is worth it alone. It makes them look like 4k.

If you want to be able to play top of the line android games this is it. FYI you can install the APK for Google Stadia on here & Xbox Game Pass for Xcloud and steam your games too. Remove is awesome. Feels great in the hands, has google assistant built in for voice searches and also will control your other devices too. This has ethernet and 2 usb A ports on the back for wireless mouse and keyboard or pretty much whatever you want. Only downside for me on this device is Android TV does fully support mouse in games. Keyboard works but mouse doesnt so if you want to do keyboard and mouse Get a chromebox for Stadia and for Xcloud but other than that this has the GOOGLE PLAY STORE. The android apps you have on your phone are on here too. Can say enough how fast this thing is. Go get one you will be happy you did and nothing better than this right now out on the market
