It needs a refresh. They've been busy, this was developed before they became the largest public company in the world. Wouldn't recommend if your looking for latest and greatest. But TBH probably still is one of the best options out there, just hard to justify cost 6 years after launch.

Upgraded from a 2017 shield to the 19 shield. Is it worth it? For me it was but you decide for yourself. Definitely better than a fire stick or roku

Everything you could want for a Android TV box, one of the only devices with the ability to play Dolby Atmos files. The tegra X1+ does it's job well. Better updates than other Android TV devices.

I love the Shield Pro 4K does a great job of everything.

Would be better if it supported higher frame rate Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ as well. Otherwise the perfect streaming device especially if you watch older content that needs upscaling. AI upscaling makes 1080p content look very close to Native 4K.

I had to buy this to sync lights using Philips Hue Sync Box because built-in Smart TV apps will not work with Philips Hue light sync. I chose this external streaming device because Consumer Reports and Best Buy had it topped ranked. I also chose it because I needed to get my children, who prefer to play Fortnite and such on the PC, off of my PC. Sites state that this device can mimic PC gaming. However, one of my sons who tried it using a wireless keyboard and mouse said it is more glitchy than playing Fortnite with Nintendo Switch. He also indicated that you must use a controller by NVIDIA to work because his PS 4 Dualshock controller wouldn't work. Bummer.

Better than any streaming device I’ve ever owned! Better than Apple TV and firestick! If you are looking for a higher end device that does a lot and works fast, this is it! Would buy again.

I like everything about it, its easy to use, it supports most apps and that i can game with it.

Response is super fast, there's tons of storage, and it's Android so you can use almost any app, and you can easily side load just about anything not on the official store.

Great streaming box definitely an upgrade from a fire stick. great picture and easy to set up. i do think the remote is a little dated with the Netflix button only reason I gave it 4 stars.

Went through so many streamers for quality. This one is far superior in picture and sound compared to all others.

The upscailing this device does makes it impossible watch TV on anything else!
