During vacation .I was bored and wanted something new than ps4 that I have already..after I bought it.I fell in love with it..Android games and you can also sideload apps and games to it easily. 4K Netflix streaming is out of this world..just build my new gaming PC ..geforce graphics card that has gamestream so you can stream games from PC with this shield console. I freaking love that feature

First let me say this little black box is Awsome to the 10th degree. I've had several streaming devices like Apple TV and Amazon Fire tv, the Nvidia Shield tv blows everything out of the water. It's 4K resolution is a good added bonus and the fast graphic chip make it stand out. What do I use mine for...? Everything gaming streaming movies and listening to radio and watch videos I'm telling you if you thinking on getting this get it. This is the future of streaming and did I mention it's Fast.

Great for streaming movies and shows. Not to mention great for gaming! A good alternative to Xbox and PlayStation.

I gave it a 4 out of 5 only because even though it is Android based, it does not run all of the things you would find in the google play store. Other than that, I found it to be awesome. I love the variety of games it does have available, the streaming capabilities are definitely worth it, and the one feature my wife loves the most is the remote control and how you can watch tv and plug in earphones into the remote and control the volume of what you are watching. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

For cable cutters like me, this is the best STB. You have access to multiple streaming services in 4K Unit is completely silent, no anoying fans you can play games from GeForce now. For a casual gamer like me that's access to many high quality games at a very small price It serves as a chromecast, so you can stream from your computer. Voice recognition is very very good, you dont really see the on-screen keyboard that much after initial setup

I have just begun to use my Nvida Shield and so far it works great. Its main use so far has been as an Android Tv device which it works great as. I have played a few games so far and have been impressed. I bought the additional remote (actually got it free at the register with a promotion they were running) works better for my video viewing than the controller or i should say more comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

I purchased the Shield to replace my ROKU 3 to add 4k to my media quiver. I chose the Shield over the ROKU 4 because of the Game Streaming feature (works great) and the Android TV OS (not so nice). I deducted one star because many android TV apps are not available. I have side loaded a couple of apps and they work without issue but I can't add them to the launch menu. This is a big miss on nVidia's part!

Fastest processor Nvidia designs, not cheap, very heavy. Wonderful, it does a lot. The only thing I don't like is you can't really play steam games on it or I haven't figured it out, but then again, you can't on any. Stop! You found exactly what you were looking for here.

Got this as an early Christmas gift, and glad I got it. I have a couple other cheap android boxes and this blows them out of the water, when it comes to performance and options. It is fairly simple to navigate, and has quite a few extra perks included, like being able to stream computer games to your tv. Everything is built very solid and feels like a quality product. I was lucky enough to get the optional remote as a package deal from a black Friday deal, and I'm glad I did,because I propably wouldn't have spent the extra $50 dollars for the remote. It really makes the experience of watching movies and listening to movies more enjoyable, when you don't have to carry that clunky controller around. The software is a bit locked down and there is a slight learning curve to get around that if want to use it for things other than just multimedia player and game streaming. It runs Kodi smoothly and better than any other android box I've owned. All-in-all I think its a great product and a welcome addition to my living room entertainment setup.

Love this NVIDIA SHIELD...very cool system! Plays games (android) music, movies, run certain apps. Took a minute to figure out how to navigate and what I needed to download to make using it easier. I am very impressed with this thing! Plan on buying a second one very soon!

It has a hybrid SSD/HDD which makes everything super fast. Streaming games from PC is awesome. It's a modern day entertainment center all in one power package

I LOVE my Nvidia Shield Pro! I have the 500G version, and have bought the separate remote as well. Streaming is flawless, and controller is super comfortable and snappy. My ONLY complaint is that I can't figure out how to download movies from Googe Play Movies (as a subscriber to Google Music / YouTube Red). To be fair, this may be a limit of Android TV specifically, and not the shield, but it would be nice to utilize the massive hard drive for storing purchased movies and TV shows. I can still play the movies, but they're always streamed. Outside of this, I highly recommend the Shield Pro!

Only had it a couple weeks but so far it's been great videos are really good and the games are quite good I got it basely for Kodi

I love this device, it is well worth the money. I put Kodi on it and am using it more for video streaming, but I also use it for games sometimes as well.

It's great, streaming is flawless over a wired gigabit connection. Some games require a keyboard and mouse input, but other games will use the controller easily. The 4K rendering has yet to be seen.

I love the Nvidia Shield Android TV. I mostly use it to run Kodi and stream video from my network attached storage. It's also handy to stream games from my gaming pc to my TV.

Love the Shield Tv. Have owning the AppleTv's, Amazon Firetv and other steaming boxes this by far is the best. Super fast lots of room and no lag. Well worth the money.

I love the speed of the shield. It is easy to load programs like Sling and they work quicker and the buffering is a lot less than on the fire stick. Great for Kodi etc.

Great little device. I stream all my movies from my nas using KODI without issues, haven't yet tried 4K yet. Loads of features and being able to play games off your PC is pretty cool as well. The only downside I'd say is the controller, wish Nvidia would make it so you can use an Xbox One wireless controller but hey they want to sell controllers as well so I get it from a company standpoint.

This system is very great console for games and watching movies. I am to play Pc games on my 4k television and look amazing. Also have many apps at the touch of a button.
