I have tried several versions of the Nvidia Shield wireless controller and this newer version is the best if you can get it on sale. The buttons are good, triggers are ok, but it’s the integrated Nvidia Shield functionality like a built-in microphone that puts this controller over other compatible Xbox One and PS4 controller which also work with the Nvidia Shield. If you only care about the controller for games and not other UI or app navigation and functionality then go with an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller for less money and better controller feel.

Very good sensitivity and accuracy of controls. Buttons in locations I'm accustomed to. Comfortable fit in the hands. No lag after input form buttons ore joy stick.

I got this as an additional controller to my First Gen Shield. Before Nvidia had the patch, it worked as a Bluetooth controller, now that the 5.0 patch is installed, it works great. No concerns using with Gen 1 devices.

You really cant go wrong with an OEM remote for your shield. The controller adds so much more enjoyability over the regular remotes. Much easier to hold and use.

Great controller for Android devices (phones and tablets) Also works with Firestick TV as well. Pairs 2ez even when jumping from one device to the next. I was also impressed with the battery life.

has rumble, usb and bluetooth connectivity(if you have an NVIDIA GPU) and works great as a xbox controller since most games regonize it natively as such and it feels best in class with its redesign.

This is a must have product for the shield. Mates up perfectly with the tablet and shows zero delay/latency. Battery life seems to last forever. I just wish I could say the same about the tablet.

An excellent upgrade over the 2015 controller. Lighter and sleeker and it seemed to connect to my 2015 Nvidia Shield TV unit much more quickly than the older controller.

My husband loves this! He can use it with his computer which has an Nvidia video card and on the Shield we purchased for games and as a remote.

I love this controller, the battery lasts a long time, latency is a minimum. Very well built.

Works better with the shield than an Xbox or ps4 controller. Like having the volume slider in the middle.

Great controller that allows you to use the tv shield as a gaming platform. Steam is great on this product, and this controller makes playing any game a breeze.

In lieu of any old bluetooth controller, this one works perfectly with nVidia Shield. Feels good. Solid construction and easy to setup.

This controller works like a charm. All of the controls are responsive and work well. Plus, the price at Best Buy was better than everyone else.

I've only used this for a bit over a week now, but so far I much prefer the new configuration/ergonomics to this controller's bulky predecessor. It's a much more comfortable, higher quality feel in comparison. The main reason I replaced my original controller, however, is that the original's battery died and could not easily be replaced. It would no longer take a charge. Only time will tell if the battery is also an issue with this controller, but it doesn't appear that you can easily swap the battery out in this controller either. Until I have reason to do otherwise, this gets a 5 star rating.

Not the best price, but comparing to the Xbox and PlayStation controller it is very user friendly. There's no waiting to sync and the controller actually has a volume controller on the remote.

Very nice controller for the TV Shield Pro. Probably one of the best tech gifts of 2020. Great quality, ergonomics and ease to set up.
