No need to purchase AA batteries anymore. Always have a backup battery to use.

Save on buying batteries. Buy Nyko rechargeable batteries and when they run down, just put the controller in the slot and keep going. Even has a usb port in the front for charging controllers with different batteries, or even your phone. I have 2 and love them!

Bought the xbox dual charger for my son. Works great abd price was reasonable!

So nice I bought it twice. Easy was to keep controllers charged.

I bought this product after one of the batteries on my Xbox branded play and charge kits stopped taking a charge. This set is nice because it comes with 2 batteries, and it charges them both at once in a separate cradle, which is powered by a wall outlet. This eliminated the need to use one of my Xbox USB ports to charge the batteries. This also means that you cannot use the controller as a wired controller if the battery dies however. Additionally, my existing play and charge kit will not charge these batteries, because the cradle requires different contact points for charging. These contact points are also more exposed, located on the back of the battery instead of the top, and could potentially become damaged. The battery life is also a little shorter on these than on the setup I previously had, however they still last for at least 25 hours of play time. I have gotten into the habit of storing the controllers (with the batteries) on the charging cradle when they are not in use, and this is working out great. I would highly recommend this unit over the play and charge kit, unless you really feel like you will need the wired connection option.

This is an awesome product I no longer need to be buying batteries. And I can charge both controllers at the same time no longer have to sit there with a cable connected to the xbox to charge one controller great product.
