This works great for using the original gamecube controllers I had laying around. Compared to the official Nintendo adapter it is about a half inch smaller in length however it works exactly the same and feels just as solid as the Nintendo one. This is one of my favorite products for the switch. It makes playing Super Smash Bros much easier and using the gamecube controllers feel so much more comfortable during long sessions of Mario Kart. Definitely worth the $20 bucks

Glad we held onto our wireless GameCube controllers. This retro controller hub allowed us to hook up the old GC controllers to the new Nintendo Switch and use them if they was made for the switch. I didn't have to buy new controllers for 4 additional players. I also get to tell my wife that because I didn't throw out the old controllers at her request (command), I saved some money and got cool dad points with my son. (Okay, I didn't really tell her because I'd still be wrong somehow.)

My daughter was looking for a way to use our Nintendo gamecube controllers to play Smash Brothers on the switch. Luckily we found this hub and it works flawlessly, we are able to play our favorite fighting game with a much better controller than the crappy tiny switch controllers. As always Best Buy was prompt with delivering the well packaged hub and we would rate the actual product as well built and good quality.

Works great! The cord could be longer; I still have to use controller extenders to be able to play from my couch, but it works well! I can use GameCube controllers to play games on the switch and on my computer! And it has 4 ports so we can also play multi-player games, with all of us using Gamecube controllers! Love it!

With switch game controllers costing around $50 a piece, the Nyko Retro controller hub w/ gamecube controllers is a great alternative for multiplayer titles. You can buy a set of two 3rd party Gamecube controllers for around $20 online, making multiplayer options much more affordable. Bear in mind that there are limitations to using Gamecube controllers. They only work on a couple of games like Mario Kart and Super Smash brothers. The controller hub maps the Gamecube controller as if it were a switch controller without the L1 trigger, + / - buttons, home button, and gyro controls. As long as the game doesn't require these inputs, you can use the Gamecube controller. The only real downside I had with this hub is that it doesn't include rumble. I am guessing this might be due to the controller not being able to emulate HD rumble of the Switch, but it's still disappointing to have no rumble feedback at all. Still a great way to get some extra controllers without spending a lot of cash.

This is a great addition to have if you want to use your original Gamecube Controllers on the Switch. It is very easy to set up. Sometimes it doesn't give enough power to my controller, even if I only have one controller plugged in. Like when playing Mario Kart, sometimes when I start off a race I am significantly slower than the other characters. But unplugging and re-plugging the controller fixes the problem every time.

Just like any other hub you see out there. It works for multiple platforms including PC. Used it to hook up the ol Smash controllers. No noticeable lags or anything like that. The pro controllers are pretty good too, but if you already have a bunch of controllers and don't want to buy new ones then this is the way to go.

Bought this so I could use my old game cube controllers with my switch. Seems to be quality product and works like a jiff. I've been playing a bunch of super smash now that I have my old controller working. I was terrible with the other switch controllers, its amazing how much of a difference this makes!

I use the pro controller in my regular gaming, but I have been using this with my old gamecube controllers with family. This hooks up easily in the Switch USB port and connects gamecube controllers instantly. I have had no issues and have been happy with the purchase.

Bought this due to having 3 Gamecube wireless controllers. Works great. The Switch controller are just too small by themselves in my hands. A must if you still have old tech in the closet.

I've been buying Nyko products since the Wii and they have all worked really well for me. This hub allows me to easily connect my old school GameCube controllers to the Switch with no problems. Excellent price too!

Does exactly what you need it to do and is relatively cheap, not much else to say. Mostly purchased by people who play Super Smash Brothers and never liked any other controller as much as the gamecube.

Good price, easy to set up, and does what it's supposed to - lets us play the Switch with gamecube controllers. Been great for multi-player nights, since we haven't purchased another Joy-Con yet.

This is a fantastic idea for anyone who enjoyed the GameCube and wants to save some money in Nintendo Switch controllers yet still wants to game with friends. Works excellent and have had no issues with the item.

If you're considering buying this I'm guessing you have some old Gamecube controllers laying around just waiting to be used again. If this is the case look no further this will bring use to those old/new controllers once again! FYI Some people have noticed some input lag from these but if it is there, I haven't noticed it myself.

Have some old game cube controller's around the house? Breathe new life into them and save some money by not buying new switch controllers. Works great for local multiplayer.

Bought this because I wanted to get into playing smash brothers and this allowed me to play with all of my friends using my switch! Easy to hook up and use.

Works like it's supposed to it does its job if I need another one for another gaming system I would definitely purchase it a good buy

Allows me to play with my original Nintendo GameCube controllers. Wave bird wireless controllers work fine as well. Great adapter for a cheap price.
