My gosh this thing is freaking amazing. The reactions you get from first time users like friends and family is amazing. And I’ve spent so much money on games my wallet is crying. I love how in expensive this is in comparison to the Vive and I definitely reccomend getting a 3rd sensor, then the tracking is just as good as the vive. My only complaint is the length of the cable for the headset is a couple feet short but that can be easily extended with some inexpensive active cables for hdmi and usb 3.0. Controllers are awesome. If you have the system and the money. I would get this right now or go and try it out some where because it’s an experience you can’t describe. Even though your field of view is only at 110 degrees and the screen resolution isn’t that good, it’s not the system, it’s just the technology we have at the moment. There are higher quality screens but not as good as an overall gameplay experience as the oculus does.

Comparison how far VR has come even to the pre-release unit I owned is amazing. This is fantastic, course far from perfect. The fact that the hand controls are released now really helps out considerably when playing games. The immersion with touch controls is wonderful. Started on an old R9 290 GPU and upgraded to a 1080TI. While most games I can enjoy higher settings the biggest thing that makes a difference is getting the super sampling up to 1.5+ in most things, even a full 2. This increases the resolution and makes text in game much easier to read and things look clearer. There is a few things that are annoying. The tracking stands, if you move them it messes up your tracking unless you re-setup the space. Also with them make sure you have a good space to place them and potentially enough USB cable length because you'll need it. Also sadly while its still new and they are just starting to really release anything like it, but wireless headset. Its annoying being wired but... its not horrible to work with it. Unless you have 2 sensors setup really good in or a 3rd sensor doing a full 360 in-games is most likely not going to happen. The jump back into 3D has renewed my interest in PC games. Even some of them can give decent work outs!

Got this at the summer sale and it came with a couple of free games. I had tried an oculus rift before without the touch controllers, but i have to say that the oculus touch controllers make all the difference in the world. You really have to experience it to fully believe in it. The best way I can describe it(and how other people have described it) is like transitioning from 2d sprites to 3d graphics

I already have PSVR and was expecting the oculus to be about the same but with more games. I was wrong this thing blows the PSVR away. All I kept saying was amazing while playing the free games it came with. Only con is hard to change drive where Oculus app goes, changing the drive for the games was easy.

The Rift is class leading in simplicity and use. It was very easy to setup and get running. The touch controllers are amazing. I use it primarily in iRacing, but since the touch controllers are so good I've been exploring other games. I run a i5 4590K processor (overclocked to 4.5GHz) and 1080ti graphics card on windows 7. I've had zero issues with stuttering or smooth game play.

The standard of vr is also one of the most affordable and solid experiences out there. Careful though, due to reducing costs the plastic lenses can get scratched if used with glasses and can get foggy or blurry at times. My first headset was super clear and then got a blur that wouldn't go away so i replaced it with best buys amazing return policy and got a new one. My second one seems to have a little bit of a veil effect on the lenses during some dark pitch black screens other than that a bit of shimmer or glare is noticeable compared to my first headset although maybe I'm too conscious of it's lenses now that my first lenses had a horrible blur that i would focus my eyes on too much and I'm noticing things that i didn't before. Once you're immersed and can ignore all of that it's an amazing and immersive experience but don't expect it too look as sharp as real life or as it would on your tv or monitor. One thing to note is that you'll need a beefy computer to have the best experience so it's hard to recommend to others.

Got the Rift for my wife, since I already had the Vive, and at the Summer sale price you can't beat it! First, I actually like the controllers more than I do the Vive controllers. The headset is light and easy to wear for long periods gaming. Currently running it on a new Alien Aurora R6 with a GForce 1070 card and it performs excellent and very fast screen (goggle) refresh. Not jumpy-ness or frame sticks. Like I stated above, the hand controllers on the Rift are very comfortable and natural-feeling when playing. I really like my Vive, but at the Summer Special of $399 at BestBuy for the Rift with controllers it's very hard to justify the cost difference (Vive is $799 with controllers). Wife loves it, so now we are starting to learn how to play VR games together on our network. If I were you, I would get it before the special ends!

It is amazing to play games and feel like you are there. I usually prefer hardcore games, but the interactive first person shooters are very cool with Oculus. I am using it in a 5x7 foot area. The bigger the area the better, just so you don't bump into things, but there is a safety feature you can set up to make sure you won't hit stuff while in the headset.

I love the experience of VR. I bought a third camera along with this package and tracking has been amazing. I’ve had my headset for around a year now and do not regret my purchase. However, every once in a while there are always bugs that come with this new technology. There will be bugs with all new technology, but it does start to get a little annoying. For example, SteamVR integration is not very good. That was expected, as they have their own headset to worry about with HTC, but it is a little annoying when you are forced to play a game on the buggy SteamVR UI with your Rift (because of Steam exclusives). The Oculus app works perfectly though. If you have never experienced VR, I’d highly recommend trying a demo out or buying a cardboard headset for your phone just to see how you like it (although the Oculus is on a whole other level of greatness). The pros definitely outweigh the cons with this device and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to get started with VR.

I bought this to use with X-plane 11 and FlyInside software. I can honestly say that the VR experience was incredible. It puts you right in the cockpit of any airplane you fly. Totally different than the VR headsets you put your smartphone into. I'm usually not too impressed with gadgets like this but was blown away once I experienced it first hand. Totally immersive from the home screen to the game play.

I love the Oculus Rift. The games are amazing to play. Google Earth is amazing experience all by it's self. But I must warn you that you need to have a really good VR ready computer or the experience will not be fun. Nobody likes playing on something that lags. So make sure you have the best one out there before you buy it and then realize you have

Pros: - Very believable, accurate head and hand tracking - Very light and generally comfortable, controllers feel extremely natural - Free games that come with this bundle are all very good - Current price ($350) presents very good value for getting into VR Cons: - "Screendoor" effect is present but but not a deal-breaker - Motion sickness can occur in some kinds of games, in particular the ones that cause the camera to move without you moving. This isn't an issue for 95% of the games I tried. - Tracking 360-degree motion in a larger play area requires a third sensor, not included in this bundle. - Larger glasses can be uncomfortable with the headset on, but are usable. Contacts are recommended if possible. Overall the games that I've tried, which include all of the free ones that come with this bundle and several of the best-selling ones, are experiences that truly elevate the immersion of video games to a level that you really need to see to believe. The cons are relatively minor in comparison to the otherwise wonderful experience, and if anything are reminders that this is still a 1st-gen product with way more room for this technology to get better.

I am impress with the quality and the reality of playing with this headset. I bought both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift; and I admit that Oculus Rift would be the best as it offer more better title of games; and also it is the easiest to setup. For HTC Vive, I admit that it is the most difficult device to setup as I am considered myself as a tech expert. Therefore, I recommend Oculus Rift as it is cheaper, more games, and easier to setup.

My brother and I bought this on Black Friday and were excited to get it set up. *It is important to have a second connection from your graphics card to your monitor in addition to the HDMI connection you’ll need for your headset. We used a display port to VGA to connect. If you don’t have a second connection for your monitor, obviously your computer will force restart because an output is required.* We thought this would just be a cool thing to mess around with but the experiences available are AMAZING. There are tons of reviews online that are true, the graphics are not anything like a 4K TV you may be used to but consider what you’re dealing with. Once you put the headset on you completely forget about your surroundings and it’s amazing. We use it in a very small (10x10) room and you can create virtual boundaries and it still works perfectly. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing vr experience once you get it set up. Had to exchange my first one due to dead pixels and had some issues setting it up oculos support isn't very helpful. But once it was set up it is amazing and very immersive. The controllers are much more intuitive then the vive.

Definitely would recommend this to anybody interested in VR. I have not tried any of the other options out there but nothing about this system makes me want to try them. It is comfortable and is not extremely difficult to set up. I already had a VR capable computer so it was hassle-free. For the money, and the options available as far as programs and games, I think the Oculus is the best bang for your buck.

As someone who has used both the Oculus and the HTC Vive, a few key differences; The Oculus touch controllers are far more comfortable and feel more accurate in a VR space. The sensors tend to miss certain spots of the room and the setup is a bit more picky than the Vive. The price of the Oculus is definitely a plus. All in all, it's a great product, but needs a pretty good computer to run well

The rift is awesome! I find myself always wanting to play it. I did a decent amount of research before purchasing a VR system and decided to go with the rift for its built in headphones, less screen door effect, better controllers, and not needing as big of a space. I use a 3 sensor setup currently and have been having a blast with roomscale. I had some troubles in the beginning due to my motherboard only having one usb controller hub so I did have to purchase another one for the three sensors with two sensors it was fine for me with just my motherboard usbs. Other than that hiccup I have had nothing but good times and a great experience with the rift.

First off I purchased this system when it was on sale for $399.00. Second I had no intention of purchasing a VR system, but the price was to good to miss. The setup is easy. Two sensors are not enought whill in environments that require movement. Best VR game so far, IMO, is "Echo One". If you are prone to vertigo ad I am it will take a week or so to get to decent play time. It's really hard to go back to a 2D computer environment after VR. Wow, try it now,
