I played Okami back on the PS2 and it's still just as good as it is on the Xbox. Art style holds up very well, and the gameplay is still fun!
If there was a con to this game, I would say that it's a little longer than it should be. Other than that, it's still a great game.

My child is playing this game as I do this review. It has Beautiful graphics and wonderful story. A little scary for younger children, in my opinion, but an ideal old school adventure game for older kids to play. Worth the money I spent.

Okami has been released and ported a few times alrdy. First released on the PS2 10 years ago, then ported to the Wii w/ motion control, then on PS3 (digitally on the US), and now on PS4 & the Xbox. Great game, but don't have a 4K TV to see the game in 60FPS yet.
If you have gotten the game on PS3 before and got the trophies, the PS4 version shares the same list of trophies from several years ago which is a bit disappointing. However the XBox One version would net you new achievements since this is the 1st time on a MS system.

Fantastic Experience Made Better

I originally played this on the ps2 when it came out and loved the game. It's a zelda-esque game in alot of ways but with a gorgeous art style and great action adventure gameplay. The game looks even better on modern consoles and unlike many remasters, the type of art used for this game really has helped it age well. If you have never played this and like games like this, at it's current price it's a great way to experience an enhanced version of this awesome game.

Think of the wolf segments of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess only with better combat controls and a timeless art style and you have Okami in a nutshell. Despite originally releasing on the PS2, the game holds up very well, and you can't get a better value for the price. My only complaint is the game does get a little long, but if you like your action RPG's to have a lengthy base campaign, you're in the right place.

I did not play Okami when it originally came out. I'm glad they remastered it. They do cool things with the Zelda formula. The game does not play like it's 11 years old.

Even after countless rereleases for future consoles, the story, characters, quality and gameplay stay timeless. The art style looks even more eye popping in HD (and even more in 4k for my Xbox One X users)!

The game looks as if it’s a living watercolor painting in a Japanese style. The art style is what initially grabbed me when I booted up the game, then the amazing soundtrack,

I had forgot how long the opening of this game is. Prepare yourself for a ton of dialogue spoken in gibberish. After that, however, this turns into one of the best Zelda-esque games available.

The graphics in this game are completely beautiful to look at, but the sound completely ruined it for me. The story is told by a narrator who does not speak a modern language but makes weird high pitched grunting sounds (kind of like twili in LOZ). It goes on for so long that I found myself having to skip through story cutscenes. The text is inside a bubble that constantly moves in and out, which I found hard to look at. The game is fun, I just couldn't make it too far in due to these issues. Also, do not play if you're sensitive to dogs dying. I was sobbing after 2 minutes of the game.
