Customers are delighted by the sound quality and ease of use of the 1190W 7.2-Ch. Network-Ready 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver. Many appreciate the receiver's powerful performance, extensive features, and the ease of setup. The HDMI capabilities and price point are also frequently praised. No complaints. I use it in the bedroom with a Sony x900c tv in a 5.1 setup. Sounds great, lots of inputs, love the IP control. 4K, 3D pass through, hi-rez music all work great.

I had an older version of Onyko receiver and really liked it. But I swear this new one I hear more sounds I didn't with my old one and I have the same speakers. In any case so far I am loving it, the optimizer does help with iPod for better sound, and loving the Bluetooth. I'm so glad I got this, when my other finally bit the dust.

I had an Onkyo amp that blew from a power spike and had to replace it. Bought a Sony, didn't sound right so I took it back and upgraded to this amp. Sound is awesome, real easy to use with the on screen menus. Got the extra insurance for piece of mind. What a great upgrade. Sound is clear, crisp and powerful at all levels. Fully emersed in 3D... Highly recommended upgrade for any system.

Good value. Would like a direct FM tune knob or arrow keys on the unit. Can only scan on the unit. AirPlay link to cell phone poor. Bluetooth link to iphone music source works well as back up. Playing different sound sources in two locations through unit is great. Music outsifde and movie inside. Overall better than my two mid power Denon's that died after one year each. Would by again

This receiver is a great multi-functional unit and I have a cadre of devices plugged in. I'm now going to expand to install outside speakers for my patio.

I was initially looking at the Onkyo TX-8050 and the TX-8160 2 channel network units (both with analog and digital inputs, network input, and turntable input). While I was thinking about those units, I had a listen to the Onkyo TX-NR545 which is pretty similar. That one had almost everything that the 2 channel candidates had, but no turntable input. What grabbed my attention to it was the surround sound performance. That gave me something to think about. Weeks later, I came across an "open box" Onkyo TX-NR646. After seeing the price and noticing that it has a turntable input, I bought it instead. I am glad that I waited, because this receiver is everything the 2 Channel units are plus the spectacular surround sound modes. The TX-NR646 has lots of operational flexibility, but requires some manual input from you the ooperator. That puts you in the drivers seat instead of things switching on and off automatically (which can be rather frustrating). Just be certain that you download the operator manual in case you forget how to do something. One thing I should mention. I still have a tape deck. Since there is no "official" tape loop included, I hooked up the tape deck to the Zone 2 preamp. It is not as convenient as a tape loop, but it works. The general sound quality is mighty good for a receiver in its MSRP price range. Overall, I like this receiver.

The Onkyo - 1190W Receiver is an above average unit with all the bells and whistles. I use it for all my video needs and the sound through it is excellent.

The receiver has plenty of power to blast all kinds of my music, the surround sound is great for movies and video games. One thing I have noticed is while watching TV when a change channels through the cable box the sound does disappear for a few seconds but comes back. Can be a little annoying, other than that it has met all my expectations.

This receiver is fantastic! Setup was simple. Quality and sound is unbelievable. Does not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive models but for the price this is a great value. I replaced my Onkyo TX-989 with this receiver and at about $2600 less it is well worth the price. All my friends noticed the difference right away. I am very happy with this receiver.

Great System. Easy to hook up. Like the fact that I can listen to one form of media in the family room and the radio out in the garage at the same time.
