Good all-around receiver

I wanted to replace my old receiver to take advantage of a new 4K SUHD TV, but had trouble finding a receiver where the HDMI ARC function worked with my Samsung TV and Comcast cable. I tried a Yamaha TSR-5810 and a Sony STR-DN1060, but I couldn't get either one to work with the HDMI ARC function on the Samsung. The Onkyo had no such issue - I get audio through HDMI regardless of input.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After about 9 years of using my Pioneer Elite 6.1 surround receiver, I decided to upgrade. I researched a few different models, and decided that the Onky 7.2 was the best. I'm glad that I did! The audio is clear, strong, and discrete. The features including the remote app for mobile phones makes things very convenient, and the on-screen set up makes things easy to control. Hopefully this will last me another 9 years!

Great Surround Receiver

I also needed a receiver that can do send sound to another zone which connects to my old Onkyo. I can listen to sound in multiple rooms. The best part with all the features was the great deal I got at best buy. I highly recommend Onkyo and the easy purchase at Best Buy.
