Great Receiver

I have my receiver paired with a set of Polk audio T50 T30 T15 and PSW10. you will find no other receiver with this set of features and sound for this price.

Great when the HDMI board works

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this reciever with hopes of enhancing my home theater experience with Atmos and the other pretty great features it offered. In the first year, the HDMI board went out. Best Buy replaced it under the manufacturer warranty (they shipped it off to ATL). After, it worked fine until it happened again. This time out of warranty. The on-screen menu stopped working, then suddenly CEC stopped, and after a firmware, update it virtually stopped working all together. The menus lagged, and menu options like firmware update disappeared. No amount of resetting or unplugging works. Truly difficult considering that to set the reciever up after a reset you need the on-screen menu. Onkyo's support is not helpful. I owned a different brand for 7 years before this and never had a single issue.

Good bang for the buck

I wanted something that didn't cost an arm and leg and had sufficient HDMI ports capable and was 4k capable. This met all my needs for significantly less than I could find in other brands/models. The only thing that worries me is the reliability, but so far so good.
