Easy set up. Works well as a 2 zone receiver. Programming is a bit cumbersome.

I replaced my Onkyo TX-NR616 with this one. I feel completely satisfied. It has a less wattage than TX-NR616 but performs great. What I liked most is that you can play music from your smartphone, table, computer, a usb, TV, etc. Spotify connect is performed better than Yamaha RX-V681 and there is not cut out.

I chose the Onkyo receiver because it was the only one in its price range that could accept a turntable without an external amplifier. If you have a turntable, that is a feature you need to ensure your receiver has. I'm very satisfied with the overall performance of the receiver so far. Setting up the wifi was ease.

Bought on a BF sale, features compare well with more expensive AV receivers. Had a glitch so far with throwing music from my iPhone over wifi to the device, all my songs fast forward on the phone, but everything else has worked beautifully. Haven't updated the firmware yet so this could be my issue.

System sounds good, however the Bluetooth doesn't connect easy.

Its really a good product if you want to enjoy music at its best.

I like the way it enhances my old speakers and the on line apps.

Not sure if this receiver is right for me. At the price point it's at I was expecting a higher-quality sounding experience but I'm just not getting it. I replaced a Pioneer receiver that sounds just about the same as this and that one was lesser money. Just didn't have the support for 4K HDR as this one does. Also while at Best Buy I asked about the Dolby Atmos and what kind of speaker set up I would need and he took me to the Magnolia theater room where I was basically laughed at for even wanting to attempt to run Atmos through this receiver and then the guy suggested the higher-priced receivers in the room if that was important to me so apparently this one is just for amateurs. But if that's the case it sure isn't at an amateur price. I got this half-price with some reward certificates I received from purchasing a TV so I think if you're going to pay full price then put out a couple hundred dollars more and stop and do something a little more "Elite"
