Replaced an old Onkyo unit that started having troubles after many great years of service. User interfaces have significantly improved. Very pleased with the purchase.

There are numerous features and outputs on the receiver. Perfect for gaming enthusiasts with multiple systems. It will be perfect once the Google cast feature is enabled.

I had an Aiwa for several years and it finally died. Bought this to replace and upgrade. Only con is the description said chromecast enabled but did not see for audio only until after purchase.

Good RECEIVER for price and got it on sale, love the passthrough for the HDMI and love the stile of the front panel compare to the Deon and Sony that I compare it to

I always favored Onkyo due to the lack of issues and top notch performance. The only disadvantage is they are a little complicated. I also do not like that the volume needs to be at 60 for some reason.

This is a great receiver for the price. it has tons of features like internet radio and built in chromecast. Plus Onkyo is still releasing firmware updates

Works well so far. I purchased the extended warranty because I thought it made sense. This item does so many things. Let's call it Murphys law insurance. Best Buy sticks behind their warranties.

maybe its that it is such a huge jump up from my much older Sony. but a modern receiver with phono input, 4k support and built in spotify. and just sounds amazing.

Only had this unit for a few weeks,but all seem fine so far.The receiver is a great value for all the features it has. It a steal for the clearance price BB has.

This receiver will do 5.1.2 and 7.2 and it will do either one very effectively, I bumped up to a higher model so I could run 7.1.2 but this was a solid receiver.

Have had it about a month now, and am pleased with it so far. This is my 3rd Onkyo over the years, never had issues. Replaced for the lack of 3d and 4k pass-trough.

Really like the receiver! Great value given the features. Seems to have a very sensitive protective mode but think I have solved the issue. This is my 3rd Onkyo. Never been disappointed.

The sound is superb but the network application is poor and would not stay connected and froze multiple times so I returned it and got a Yamaha.

This is my 2nd Onkyo receiver. I purchased this one because of the "bells and whistles", which is great but a lot of reading is needed to figure EVERYTHING out!

I bought this after reading many reviews. It was easy to set up and work through the settings. I have not had any problems and it is performing very well.

I updated the firmware on my TX-NR656 it sounds amazing, until this past month. It started to make clicking snds like it changes snd output?

We bought this at the suggestion of a very knowledgeable Best Buy team member and couldn't be happier! High quality and reliable sound. We love it!

I am mostly pleased with the purchase & price , works as expected , my turntable doesn't come in as expected though , and it is hooked up right !
