    Bought a 4K TV.... old receiver did not produce 4K sound. This new receiver made a HUGE difference in the 4K sound!

    I bought this after going through many reviews and comparing many other products. Plus I have always been a big Onkyo fan. First of all, the Onkyo products are much bigger than other similar products. This thing barely fits in the cabinet and once you connect everything, I had to cut a hole in the back of the cabinet. As for the connections, it didn't register any of the component video or composite video coming from my DVD/Video player. And the Wii video was very grainy. For the connections that did work, the sound was... variable. Like it was having trouble sending the audio signal properly. Then I tried the firmware update. After an hour, it failed with an error and after researching online, the firmware update is a common problem. That was the last straw. I returned it and bought a Yamaha.
