the Receiver meant my expectations.as a replacement of an older Onkyo Receiver

I bought this as an open box returned item. I have a full 5.1 Athena speaker system running on it. Absolutely beautiful surround sound. Excellent depth. Lots of volume. I really can't say anything bad about this receiver. Can't beat it for the price.

great price needed to replace a nakamichi high current amp I got in best buy in the 90's and was very shocked with the amplification this onkyo had and am extremely happy with surround effects. do not quite understand the hdmi and optical features yet

This receiver has all the hook ups needed and the clarity is unmatched!

I have used this for several months now and couldn't be happier with the performance. It was easy to set up all of my stuff and it is now a breeze to use any of my various tech toys. If you can get one, this is a good unit for home theater use.

Solid receiver, no complaints yet, and I like the Bluetooth capabilities.

I purchased due to the good reviews on Best Buy's website and also the low price. The sound is what you would expect for a speaker at this price point but so far I'm very happy. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a more expensive speaker.

This has great surround sound. I looked at all Best Buy had and picked this one. The only thing I wish it had is a switched power outlet like all of my other stereo/surround receivers I have owned in the past. You need it for the sub woofer.

Haven't hooked it it up yet but I'm expecting it to meet expectations.

I had a choice to buy this Onkyo unit or the Yamaha unit. I wish I had chosen the Yamaha. This Onkyo unit produces standard sounds even with Infinity speakers. The clarity is ok, but not crisp. The reason I gave it a one star because after using it about 2 1/2 months it has problems. The display just blank out. No display what so ever. The closet authorized repair center is in Huntington Beach, Ca. They are not willing to reimburse for local repairs. I have to send the unit to Huntington Beach at my own expense. So much hassle.

I thought I would never buy an amplifier again but long and behold a friend gave me a surround system and I needed an amp. So this one is working great. I have everything connected to it. Thanks Best Buy for the deal you gave me on this unit.

I love the onkyo brand this is my second receiver awesome sound.

I bought the Onkyo for my upstairs surround room. It sounds awesome. Better than I expected. I also have another one downstairs. Can't beat the clarity and sound that comes from it. Never disappoints. Very happy with my purchase!

Replaced Pioneer product that died, works well easy to install.

This was great purchase and did everything I needed it to!

Needed to supplement a reciever hosting components with another that supported hdmi for newer equipment. This was an excellent choice. Still, would be nice if the product allowed surround sound adjustments to individual taste

I have been a loyal Yamaha customer for 25 years but tried this Onkyo after talking with a salesman. It was very easy to hook up (esp. compared to my old receiver that did not have HDMI outlets). The performance is great!

I have (2) other older Onkyo receivers and never had a bit of trouble. I wanted to update to a receiver with HDMI and optical ports. The receiver is great with what I needed and I'm sure I'll have it for many years.

Was really undecided as to which system to get. After my further research, I bought this one and I was really happy with my purchase. Onkyo has truly mastered there systems when it comes to sound. Highly recommend!

I read a lot of reviews ,but once I talked to a salesman and he said for the money and quality of sound on my bose system, I would really like this Unit,and so I'm so Happpy with the sound quality,it's a great product!
