Customers are pleased with the sound quality, ease of use, and Bluetooth capabilities of the 700W 5.1-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver. Many also appreciate the receiver's power and the value for its price. I replaced a previous receiver from a different manufacturer that kept turning my screen pink. I have an older Onkyo and purchased the other receiver because it was less expensive. Big mistake! That one ended up being donated to Goodwill. Even though this Onkyo is a bit bulky, I don't mind. It works great! It's easy to use and has all the inputs I need! I am sticking with Onkyo for all my future receiver needs!

This was a Christmas gift from my wife and I was very happy with it when I first hooked it up. This is an upgrade from a 10 year old Yamaha so for me it has a lot of new features. Bluetooth is nice and the sound is very good. The 4K pass through has no loss of visual or audio quality. It can get pretty loud and has more than enough power for my speakers. I didn't really have enough time to play with all the features because after a few days it completely died on me. No power! I went back to Best Buy and I was about five days over a month from when my wife purchased it and it was going to be sent out of state for factory warranty repair. But after the geek squad associate spoke with his manager they let me exchange it for a new one. So for the few days it worked I was happy with it. I honestly think I got a bad unit. And I'm glad Best Buy let me pay the difference and get the next model up Onkyo reciever that was on sale. And I will be getting extended warranty this time. I will give Onkyo another chance and see how my new TX-NR656 does.

Bluetooth for my phone worked good. Seemed little quite?? But still worked good. Seems powerful. Looks nice when it's off and sitting in the cabinet. When it's turned on it's just simple could look cooler in my opinion. But that's just me. Works good and easy. Controller works good but seems to light and cheap? Feeling. But really no complaints

My previous receiver was an onkyo also but the center channel died after 15 years of constant use. It performed flawlessly so I decided to go with the same brand again. This being on sale made it the bestbuy....see what I did there. The speaker system that came with my old receiver still works perfectly, this newer upgraded receiver brought them back to life and they sound even better than they did with my old receiver. This new unit puts out 100w more per channel which helps the surround speakers sound more robust (they were a bit anemic with the original receiver). 4 hdmi inputs is perfect for my needs and actually left me with an extra input since I'm only running a streaming device, blue ray player and gaming system. The video clarity is great also. Bluetooth connectivity is simple and straightforward, streaming music to my system couldn't be easier and the sound clarity is a beautiful thing. I paired this with a Logitech universal remote to run the whole show and everything works together seamlessly. I couldn't be happier....well if I upgraded to a 4K tv maybe....but that's another day and another review.

I'm no expert, but this receiver was exceedingly easy to set up. I used to have a Denon AVR1508, and the conversion from the old Denon to the new Onkyo reduced the number of cables by five, since the Onkyo can carry sound through HDMI cables. I do not have surround sound, so when in stereo mode the Onkyo works like a dream.

I love the fact that I can run all my audio and video through the receiver but sometimes the receiver is slow to match up the audio with the device I’m viewing. I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing but when I first turn the receiver on, it takes 5-10 seconds for the audio to click on. Sometimes there is no audio so I have to switch it manually to the correct device. After that it works great! Set up was easy especially with the mic that comes with it.

I bought this receiver and it delivers superb Sound. This is my first receiver and thought of trying with some decent receiver around $200. Worth for the money I spent. Paired it up with Harmon Kardon HK 20 and this receiver blasts sound Got pretty decent features. Definitely worth it. Easy to assemble

Very pleased with this receiver and the receiver was easy to set up and operate. It runs much cooler than my 17 year old Harmon Kardon! I can't wait to upgrade my tv to 4k and really enjoy my components. The built in blue tooth is great for listening to your BT devices like music from your iphone.

This one I purchased for myself after getting one for my folks for Xmas last year. My requirements were bluetooth and 5.1 surround. Both work great, and it's got enough power for my music listening needs paired with some Polk signature series speakers/sub.

Purchased this to replace an aging Harmon Kardon. Setup was very easy although the wire clips for the surronds were a little small for the large gauge wire I have. I would prefer if all the connections were the same posts as the front speakers. Speaker set was great - just plug in the microphone and it set up the surround settings great.

For the price, this receiver does the job. Easy to set up. No complaints. Replaced my previous Onkyo that I used for a few years that started having some audio problems. Likely secondary to dust, humidity, etc. It served me well.

For the money, it's a good buy. It powers my small speakers nicely. It has enough inputs for my cable box, PS4, AppleTV, and laptop when needed. I like being able to stream via Bluetooth from my phone or iPad.

Had my old TV wired for surround sound through an old Technics receiver. Had to upgrade when I purchased an HDTV, as the Technics did not have a port for the HDMI cables. The Onkyo was cheaper than a sound bar,and provides crisp, clear audio. Excellent value.
