Easy to install. Has everything you need to hook up a 4K tv including 3D for a reasonable price. Note: Always check the dimensions of any receiver your interested in. They're getting larger.

Would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting a top product for their sound system. The blue tooth feature is amazing! High quality sound and very user friendly to hook up.

I purchased this reciever when I upgraded my TV. It was easy to install and setup. Overall for how inexpensive it was, I was really impressed with the sound and features it came with.

The sound through my speakers is the best I have heard yet. The setup is straight forward and provides most of the features I was looking for. It does not provide the ability to link Bluetooth headphones or speakers to the system. The other knock is the smart phone app is not great. It could be easier to use and provide more options. It does allow most functionality, although some is required to be performed on your TV (weird and old school menus) All that being said, all similar models had the same issue with blue tooth head sets. I love this receiver and being able to get Internet radio from everywhere.

Bought this receiver for use as a basic home theater setup. It has all the basics and sounds great. Menu system is a bit dated and some of the bells and whistles are missing but this works great if you're just looking for a reliable system with a 5.1 setup.

I am loving this Onkyo receiver. I am Very, Very pleased! First off this receiver is basic. Sound and picture is what you are getting, but trust me it sounds amazing, DTS HD and Dolby True and 2 DSP are the only sound field with this system. But you are also getting 4k upscale (only on a 4k TV), still looks great on a LED 1080P TV. And 4K compatibility, and 3D compatibility too. And also theirs Bluetooth. No WiFi or Internet apps. This is great for someone looking for just sound and some picture quality, but doesn't care for all the bells and whistles. This is a theater quality receiver.

I had an older Onkyo which was overkill and did not support 4K TV. This satisfies those needs and sounds great. Price was excellent relative to quality.

After buying a 4K TV, I really needed to ditch the mediocre TV speakers. I wanted more than a soundbar, and I already had a set of JBL speakers, so I opted for a power amp/receiver and a subwoofer. Research led me to this receiver, and it does the job just fine. Great power for music and for movies, pushes my subwoofer no problem, it will drive everyone out of my living room if I crank it. It actually has more options than I'll probably use. A year and a half later, I still like it.

I've had this receiver since the holidays and so far it's performed very well. I'm using the ARC HDMI input to control the volume through the TV while the receiver is located in a closet. I'm having communication issues to set the correct input (Blue Ray, TV or Cable) but it could be my lack of setup knowledge. Once the correct input is set, the volume from my TV remote nicely controls the volume on the receiver. The reproduction of the sound is very good - comparable to my Devon receiver I retired to have the 4K transmission from my new Onkyo. I'm happy so far.

Very easy and quick hook-up to multiple devices (smart tv, dvd player/recorder, cd changer, and of course a cable box). Plugs are clearly marked. Sound quality is very good. Only drawback is it automatically switches the input to dvd when there is a disc in the machine whether it is recorded or blank. So when I turn on the receiver I am watching cable tv and after a few seconds the screen is blank and the sound absent so I have to get the remote again and switch the input back to cable tv. A pain in the butt but I guess it is a small thing overall.

My old receiver finally died on me, so I started looking for a replacement. I tried a couple of sound bars but found out they were not compatible with my older, flat screen. So I look at several receivers and settled on this one. I can say that I am not disappointed and actually quite impressed with the quality and variety of sound options. It's not high end, top of the line sound, but it definitely suits my needs. The set up was quick and easy, very user friendly. This is the perfect receiver for someone that's not a "sound engineer."

Purchased the receiver at a good price and have found out it is well worth the price. The unit works flawlessly. I have a 30+year old Onkyo which still works, and that is why I had not problem in deciding on this one.

Best Buy had an open box sale. I expected to pay $199 and was good with that price. When I got to the store I found out it was marked down an additional $50. The sound quality is great. I can access tone and sub-woofer controls right from the remote or front of the receiver without having to navigate a menu. The Bluetooth feature is awesome. I had over 4000 songs in my iCloud library and can stream right my stereo. Now I just need some better speakers. I highly recommend this receiver.

Perfect. Enough connections, great sound. This unit has all the functionality of something priced hundreds higher, was easy to set-up and connect, and thus far (one month in) hasn't had any problems.

This receiver was just right for what I needed. Purchased to connect my audio video system with budget and quality in mind. Great all round receiver with flexible set-up and easy to read controls.

I already have another model Onkyo receiver in my game room, and we were impressed with the sound and the simplicity of the setup (overall). When it came time to replace an older surround receiver in our family room, I only looked at a few before deciding that I would go with this model from Onkyo. It has been quite an upgrade for us from a receiver that was purchased back in the late 90's. As with my other receiver, the sound is great and the setup was quick and easy.

Bought this system to replace my old Onkyo system and complement my Samsung 70" TV purchase. It is needed as all component connections are now HDMI rather then RCA. It is actually a blessing as you really only need to run a single HDMI cable from the TV to receiver. It has plenty of power to drive my Yamaha surround speakers and the setup is quick. Bottom line, could have spent more dollars, but its feature set, brand quality and price point was spot on for me.

This is a easy to set up receiver with 4k pass through. Sound is great and the hdmi inputs are plenty.
