Reproduces clear stereo sound from CD player, turn table, tape deck and ipod dock. Also plays music from iphone through built in blue tooth feature. Has more than enough power to drive my speakers. This as an upgrade from an older Onkyo stereo receiver I had as I wanted the iphone connectivity. Onkyo receivers are high quality at a fair price.

Just wanted a receiver without home theater & blue tooth this one is great

My 40 year old Realistic Amp/Tuner crashed. Best Buy had loads of units I could have chosen in stock but they all had features that I would never have used. The salesman (Bless him) looked at online inventory and found one which perfectly fitted my needs for considerably less money. He had it shipped directly to my home within the week. It was a snap to install and set up and my considerable music library has never sounded better. I found the control buttons and knobs difficult to see (black on black) in my romantically lit man cave, but the addition of bright stick-on happy faces solved that problem. I am happy as a clam.

I am so happy that I finally replaced my ancient 80's stereo receiver that died in a lightning storm over a year ago. This Onkyo networked stereo receiver is a step into the 21st century. I'm able to listen to all my favorite music again regardless of where it can be found - the internet, my computer, my phone, the radio and all my old vinyl LPs. I'm in music lover's heaven!!! This is another quality product from Onkyo. If you buy this, you won't be sorry.

Great for stereo, use it for phono and bluetooth/airplay. Love that you can turn it on with phone when you activate the BT or Airplay. No complaints.

Much better stereo music sound than my previous 5.1 surround sound receivers. Love the bluetooth and wifi connectivity for Sirius XM listening.

My 22 yr old Panasonic receiver failed and I replaced it with the Onkyo. Had been reading reviews of it for mos and knew it was the model I would buy. Perfect for serious music lovers who love vanilla stereo.

Bought this to play some high-res digital audio, and it works fine. It's not as intuitive as it COULD be and I haven't installed the update yet, so maybe the digital audio interface will improve.

This piece of junk burned out and quit working 6 months after I purchased it. Best buy told me it was out of warranty and it was now an ONKYO problem, not theirs. I guess for almost $400 bucks, you shouldn't expect it to last an entire year.

I consider myself a practical audiophile - I don't care to spend the big money on tube amplifiers (or else I wouldn't be here). However, sound quality is paramount to me over most other features. This Onkyo did have a few key features that swayed me over some competing 2-channel receivers in this price range. Streaming internet radio straight into its 32bit DAC and remote control/station selection through the Android app was a big seller (its just a control access over wifi, nothing streams through your phone) It has 110w RMS through 6ohm speakers, and really make my Elac F5 Debut tower speakers come alive. Impressive power and clarity. Lots of details came alive that my prior receiver wasn't getting through. Menu navigation through the 2-row screen with the provided remote is straightforward, but painfully slow if you need to enter a network key. At least its a one time thing. You may be able to do this through the phone app. Overall, highly rated, I am impressed and love the sound quality. Don't look any further if your focus is stereo listening, and like a bit of streaming/phone connectivity. Other than those nice options it is very basic, and the lack of other frills gets you better sound quality and construction.

I have this hooked up to my modular component turntable, and Bang und Olufsen speakers. It plays the polka records, and 78 rpm opera discs with perfect sonic reproduction. Thanks ONKYO for helping me hear the music I love.
