If needed more hdmi inputs so I figured I would upgrade my receiver at the same time. I would like to be able to change the pass through input without having to turn the receiver on. I have to turn the volume way higher than my old receiver for some reason as well. For the price I paid open box I like the newer features my old receiver didn't have. Sound is okay for me, maybe it's better sounding than my old receiver but I didn't have to turn the volume up nearly as high.

Sound quality of my speakers increased greatly. Very satisfied thus far. Easy to use too.

I replaced a Sony receiver that cost twice as much with this one. This does 4K really well and does all the same things that my more expensive receiver did.

I have owned Onkyo receivers for over 8 years now and can't complain. This one replaced my old one I purchased as a set with a Bose surround system. The receiver is super easy to set up and the automatic calibration is perfect for 1st timers.

I like the receiver, easy set up. I would do it again. it makes my movie watching very enhanced. It also makes my music sound awesome.

This is a very up to date receiver that does a good job for an entry level surround sound. My only issue is that it may be low on power (wattage). The inputs our limitless and options to tune are great. I noticed that no volume comes out until about the range of 40. Yes most receivers have a delayed sound but 40 is a little high for me. I live in a apt so for my Polk surround speakers this is great and everything is compatible with my 4K tv. I love it. Onkyo packs a lot of options for a very reasonable price.

I purchased an Onkyo 780W 7.2 -Ch receiver , it does a fine job except for getting the sound for the TV it is somewhat hard to program for a beginner. I will probably call the Geek Squad back to do this for me.

I chose this Onyko unit to replace an older Onkyo unit which I had been very satisfied with for years. The new unit has more features, is compatible with my new TV, and is much easier to use. Set up was comparable with the old unit. I am very satisfied with the new receiver.
