Bougth this with the intention of increasing the spearker to 7 one day from the current 5. The sound is amazing but takes a little patience to set-up since the equalizer is done through the screen set-up.

Good home theatre system, but it takes a few extra minutes to setup...last Onkyo system lasted 10 years....

I had read numerous reviews on mid-price AV receivers, and knew what features I wanted. The Onkyo tx-nr555 was highly rated, comparable to the number 1 and 2 rated receivers in features, but it was priced $50 to $100 higher. One reviewer had said the Onkyo was almost identical in performance to the number 2 receiver, and a bit more difficult to set up than the top receiver. So when BB put the nr555 on sale (for 130 bucks less than either of the top two), I bought it. Set up? Easy as pie. Performance? Outstanding. Support? Top notch, as was the service from Best Buy.

Great A/V Receiver - does absolutely everything. This receiver has everything - two zones, HDMI inputs for everything, wireless and easy set-up. Onkyo tech support is also great and reachable.

Great receiver. Sets sound to your speakers at the touch of a button. Runs all your other electronics with one remote. Only regret was not going all the way with the surround sound set.

My first Onkyo. I'm a Yamaha guy, but thought I would give this a try. Seems to work great with the newer technology(HDMI, 3D) and was not ready to drop $800 on all the bells and whistles.

Couldn't be more pleased. Excellent sound and functions well by running every thing through the receiver ( tv,DVD,satellite,etc). Hooked up a Bose 5.0 and subwoofer and sound is amazing.

Right price dope product fair exchange no robbery. You will be happy with this product unless you're some type of music junkie that knows way more than you're supposed to.

This receiver is loaded with features. The reason I bought this one is because most of the receivers can not be used for analog turntables. This one works fine.

This is an excellent receiver for the money. I was able to set it up and connect everything in less than a half hour. No issues. The Bluetooth and wireless are nice features

I bought this receiver to replace my older phillips home system. it has been a great addition to my home system and it easily handles all of my streaming devices, xbox console and my cable settop box. setup was easy and I had no problem connecting it to my home wifi.

I've owned Onkyo receivers for 20 years now. Bought this one because of the 4K pass through feature. This unit has more features than other brands in its price range.

It eventually was alright to set up, once I got over the learning curve of having to realize that there is no such thing as "plug and play" anymore! My very old Sony had bitten the dust & I'd gotten another one (open box with no remote or calibration mic--dumb mistake), but couldn't get to first base with the setup, & gave up probably too easily. I returned it. Eventually after much research, I settled for this one, as I was able to get some very good price matches & got about $100 off. I have a 7.1 set-up, with the 3rd pair of speakers in an open adjoining room. It does recognize them with the calibration mic, & I can do additional volume adjustments on them, but still wish I could set them a little louder. I also would like the base a little stronger, but I may just need to do some more tweaking. Over all, I am mostly happy with it, but not quite ecstatic!

As an average consumer who enjoys good sound and occasionally listening to AM/FM, this receiver has just enough of what I want/need without being overwhelming.

This receiver is awesome! My 4k tv only had one 2.2 hdr hdmi port and this receiver gives me three! With only one cable going to tv! Sound quality is awesome

I set this up for my father. The biggest reasons I purchased this one is because it had a phono input and the price. Not many have phono inputs anymore.

Very happy with this purchase. The automatic speaker balancing makes optimizing sound easy. It’s all about the sound & this delivers.

This is my third Onkyo receiver. The setup of this one was simple, and the sound quality is great. I also love the fact that it connects to the internet.

So far we haven't had any issues with this receiver. Our old one started having a hard time recognizing different components. Sound quality is great too.

We needed a receiver that work well with older speakers and worked with Bluetooth...it was a success! Great to have music back in the house again!
