When you feel a sudden need to be isolated and focus on some sound waves and forget about all the junk, what do you do ? You buy a receiver with max watts for the front 2 channels. I hooked this baby up with some BP 20s and man it is blissful. I used my ARC from TV into the receiver and played Spotify from the TV that gave me the best sound. The best part I like about this is it is made to do a particular job and does it well. No fluff. BTW please do not use the Bluetooth if you are into music fidelity. Sounds horrible. You have to have some good speakers to appreciate this otherwise I am not sure if this is worth. I recommend the def tech BP20 for a smaller room. I don’t think this has enough juice to drive big speakers and it doesn’t have pre outs so you cannot have an external amp but that’s not the point. It does it’s job well for a small set up.

This receiver is wonderful. I look over my shoulder sometimes, thinking that what I'm hearing is coming from outside but no. It's all inside. Now our surround sound rocks! It was easy to set up and get it going. The sound quality is wonderful and this was a great purchase.

I WANTED A SIMPLE TO INSTALL 5.1 CHANNEL RECEIVER & ONKYO FILLED THE NEED. MY ROOM IS TOO SMALL FOR 7.2 to > 11.2 speakers . The Microphone's LONG cable was most helpful. @ 125watts/ per channel = plenty of sound being felt.

Aside from some pesky delivery delays i’m quite pleased with my new Onkyo. I was able to complete installation within 30 minutes and was up and running. Some minor complaint about the quick set up guide being overly dense with translated text and some mildly confusing language but the reciever itself was smart enough to go through the setup process with minimal difficulty. Overall the sound is crisp and the bass is quite robust but there is some clipping in the upper registers which i expect to iron out with adjustment. All the connections are tight and easily accessable. It suits my small basement lair perfectly.

So far so good. Great receiver at half the price of the Denon 660 I just returned. Better quality, better sound and almost 200 less. I would recommend for someone looking for solid bais surround receiver.

This is replacing an older version and I am loving it! It has everything I need to run my home theater system on a budget. I would definitely recommend this amp. I have Klipsch speakers connected front and rear, polk audio center, and 2 polk audio subs.

Works great, interface is nice and easy to use, the sound comes through nice and clear. The only issue i have is i would have liked more banana plugs on the back instead of just the front 2 speakers, but that is only a minor thing.

First time with an Onkyo product and so far so good. I have a nice set of Infinity towers and this receiver does a good job at pushing them with clean sound. More than enough power to fill the the house. Good features and integration into my media setup.
