Onkyo TX 7.2 AV Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the package in a well packed box. The product looks great and has lot of options. I tried connecting my Harmon Kardon 5.2 Home theater setup. It sounds great, but i have not explored more. So far it looks and sounds great. But it is heavy and huge.

Nice Starter Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this receiver for about 1 month and quite like it. I have it driving a built-in 5 speaker setup in my living room, and it sounds great. The plethora of HMDI connections comes in handy when connecting video gear. I also have the receiver playing music in a 2nd zone to speakers built into another room. Only downside on that is it will only simultaneously play sound in both rooms when playing either a CD/DVD or when playing the radio on an AM/FM tuner- I haven't gotten any other setups to work (namely streaming radio won't be output to both rooms at the same time). The built-in Chromecast feature is also nice, though it is a bit slow in responding to commands given by my Google Mini (takes ~10 seconds to get music streaming). Overall a very nice receiver, with only a few minor drawbacks mentioned above.

Awesome 4K sound and picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from an older Onkyo receiver to pair with my 4K television, and this unit sounds better than the last. Easy setup too with the plug-in microphone that auto-measures distance to all the speakers and auto-sets the receiver. A few minor tweaks on my parts, and awesome sound filled the room. Fantastic.

Onkyo does DTS:X right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another great Onkyo bang for your buck receiver. No longer suffering from the bad hdmi cards of former models, and chocked full of all the connectivity you need. Easily sets up with included mirophone and takes advantage of your existing speaker layout to provide next generation 3d audio immersion. Love it, plenty of power.

excellent AV receiver for under $300 (close out)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pace of adding more features each model year drives pricing. comparing higher power, cleaner sound versus more uhd video features was a no brainer. (read cnet review comparison) But you have to act quickly. The 600 series have an edge over the 500 series. my last Onkyo lasted 15 years but no HDMI

Surprisingly good!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always maintain myself away from onkyo because they are bose systems, well that's what I've heard. So when my old receiver died I took home a Yamaha and hated the sound, returned it and the seller convinced me to take home the onkyo and mennn he was right. They have come a long way. Great sound long bass and I did not buy the correct subwoofer so there's more sound I can get from this unit . And the feature I really like is that as soon as I get home I can turn it on with my cell and continue listening whatever it was in my car. An 2 audio/video zones with different inputs at the same time blew me away!!! I hope it last me the same years the other did

Great Value!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an upgrade to replace my older Onkyo receiver. This one has 4k and 3d passthrough. It also has more wattage, better sound. A lot of it’s features are usually found in much more expensive receivers. Could use a little more wattage and be a little louder but is very good for the price.

Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this new Onkyo surround sound receiver to replace an older Yamaha. I bought new to get Bluetooth and wifi incorporated in the receiver. This inexpensive Onkyo exceeded my expectations. It is better than my Yamaha that cost $1,200.00. This is a great product and a great price!

so many great features at such a great price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old Onkyo receiver that I had for a good 5 -7 years stopped outputting audio but kept displaying video. My first reaction was to go out and by a whole new surround systems - receiver plus speakers and sub - but as I was doing some shopping around I saw this Onkyo receiver (plus all of my old speakers still worked) and for as many features this had for the price of $250, I couldn't pass up this deal. Sure there are fancier more expensive models out there but this does its job and I am also not a super snobby audiophile. This has Bluetooth, 4K/3D passthrough, 7.1 ch, seven HDMI inputs, google home/amazon/wireless speaker compatible, spotify, iphone pairing. Outputs great audio and video. Great receiver to enjoy my games, music and movies. Very happy with this purchase!

Great price on a very nice reciever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking to upgrade a 15 year old receiver to something more current. This Onkyo fit the bill. With 2 zones, Bluetooth, WiFi, 4K pass-through etc. this receiver has everything I was looking for. Additionally there was a massive sound quality improvement with this upgrade.

Fine for home theater
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Onkyo receiver delivers sound disproportionate to its cost. It connects to anything you can think of, digital or analog, fiber, copper, or bluetooth; it deals properly with any number of speakers from 1 to 10; and automatically sets balance, equalization, and phasing even for disparate speakers (e.g., my surround speakers are not identical to my front speakers). And did I mention the extra stereo Zone 2, which can be configured with either speaker feeds or line outputs? The only negatives -- which are not enough to take away the 5 star rating: (1) the Tune-In network app does not seem to handle the audio codecs of my local stations; and (2) I have not yet found an easy way to have the Zone 2 audio follow the Zone 1 source. Those negatives are pretty esoteric, in addition to being of low consequence. I heartily recommend the Onkyo line (which if I read correctly, now includes THX certification) to anyone looking for good, affordable sound for their home.

Sound is above well above the price line of the un
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price and quality says it all. Best Buy had the best price for the exact same unit that online and brick and mortar stores advertised. Quality was better than expected and I plan to keep it for as long as it lasts or tech alows it to still function. 9 months today and no issues.

Impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed with this Receiver. When looking at other ones that had this feature they were three times the price. Have not had any issues with this and it was very easy to set up. The sound quality is excellent and I like having the app on my phone to control it.

Pretty Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came from a Denon s700. Overall I like the sound better (warmer) and additional features like Chromecast built in, dts play fi are a plus. I feel the Denon was easier to navigate. Onkyo is much bulkier and it randomly clicks (not just when going from Dolby to stereo). For the price tho, it's cool.
