This is nice! I haven't bought a new unit in a while... it does great passing the 4K which is why I purchased it. The sound is good for me and the setup was easy... I would recommend the calibration, it did make a difference.

Replaced another surround sound receiver that quit. This one is really easy to use and has a lot of surround sound formats. We use it for all TV sound now. Has wifi radio but have not had a chance to try it yet

I recently upgraded from my Onkyo receiver to support 4K video sources because I have upraded my Sony TV for Ultra 4K HD. The sound for my 7,2 speaker system is incredible. All my video soureces fed through my Onkyo has provided excellent pictures on my Sony and great sound. I previously purchased the Onkyo because it provided me with an excellent and reliable audio/video switch for my entertainment system. My system is in my living room and the Onkyo receiver provides me with what I need.

If youre looking for a basic setup for a nice home theater experience, you can't go wrong here. For the price you get a lot of features available on the much more expensive models. So far it has performed great

I already had the speakers, but my old AVR couldn't properly decode the newer/current True HD, Dolby Atmos, etc. on BluRays, so I decided to look for something relatively inexpensive that could. I have been very happy with the decision. It took less time to set this up than it did to unhook everything from the old one, sound quality is good, the simulated surround for 2 channel audio is better than expected, and those BluRays sound great now. I like the Chromecast Audio built in, but it would have been nice if it had Chromecast with video streaming capabilities instead of just audio. But that's a minor thing.

I Really Wanted This Receiver to Work, But....

This receiver had everything I wanted - 4k, 7.2 channels, Bluetooth, wi-fi, and 7 HDMI inputs! However, with my current home theater set-up and my LG 4K TV, I could not get the video to work consistently on the Satellite/Cable input. I went through a significant amount of troubleshooting - I replaced EVERY HDMI cable, even replaced the receiver with the same model, factory reset EVERY device that connected to the receiver, updated all firmware, etc. Eventually, I gave up and purchased a Yamaha receiver just to see if there would be the same issue. There was not. The Yamaha worked on every input, although it has much fewer options than the Onkyo. I chalked it up to just a compatibility issue with my system (hence the four stars) and have no grudges against Onkyo.

My husband loves the Onkyo receivers, so when we replaced our t.v,, of course the receiver had to be changed too. Definitely an upgrade from our other Onkyo receiver. All the added features are pretty cool.

I have been using Onkyo products for decades. I wanted a replace my existing one with HDMI output and 7.2 ch. I was worried the HDMI switch/output has problem as mentioned in other reviews. But it was on sale and so attractive, so I decided to give it a shot. It's almost 1 month, so far so good. The sound quality is sweet. I connect the Main HDMI out to my TV and Sub to my projector. No issue with the HDMI (knock the wood). I will update this review if there is any changes.

I went with this receiver after deciding to graduate from an all-in-one speaker system to a passive system so I can build and customize it to suit my needs. This receiver has performed well so far, and I am still exploring at the features it has to offer. Easy to set up, plenty of ports for all your hookups and the ability to set-up your system for your needs. Currently only running 2.1 system on it, but I plan on working my way up to 7.1 by adding Klipsch center channel speaker, bookshelf speakers for rear sound and height speakers to utilize the Dolby Atmos in time. Very satisfied so far.

If you are looking for a nice looking receiver, lots of HDMI outputs, good connections for many speakers and a very reasonable price, then the TX-NR676 is for you. The only con is in comparison to the prior TX-NR575, I feel like I have to turn the 676 up by another 10-12 to match the sound/volume level. Not really a problem, just something different. I'm using 5.1 for now with inputs from comcast X1, XBOX One, Xbox 360, Switch, Steam Link and a Wii. Connected to a 4K projector.

The setup was easy and straightforward. The receiver helps you tune your system to your sitting location. It has plenty of ports and does an excellent job of handling my 5.1 channel surround sound and tv.

Well priced for the amount of features it offers. Nicely works with my surround sound setup. The only complaint based on my previous recievers is that this one only provides signal to the subwoofer and no additional power.
