The Oral-B Genius X gives you the feeling of having a professional dentist office cleaning. It comes with three different brush heads to try, I started with the cross action and really like it! The different settings are nice giving the ability to have a gentle brushing to a more aggressive “professional” cleaning. The app is helpful to establish a better pattern of brushing. I used it multiple times for the A.I. feature, it is decent at approximating which zone you are in on your teeth. Not a feature I would use frequently, but nice at first with the new toothbrush. You can also change the color of the light on the handle via the app which is a fun feature. The travel case is nice and being able to plug into the case to charge the handle is a good feature when packing light for trips. I would have liked it the charging base had storage for brush heads, in my house we share the handle and need that storage. That is my only real con for this unit. This Oral-B is a great replacement for my older electric toothbrush.

This is a great toothbrush, with many features, but needs support for multiple users, so that my wife and I can both use the app and see our own individual data. I don't need her data on my app, and she doesn't need mine.

Great product it really helps you to have a white teeth smile

I have been using oral b rechargeable toothbrushes for many years and couldn't fathom why this one would be so different or how the price point could be justified; now I know. The toothbrush has multiple modes that it can be put into such as: standard, pro-clean, sensitive, massage, custom timer, and tongue cleaning. My favorite was pro-clean as it gave me a clean that felt most similar to the "I just had my teeth cleaned professionally" sensation you get when you leave the dentist's office. The tongue cleaning mode is neat but similar to a standard toothbrush setting. Massage is really for helping strengthen your gums and sensitive offers a gentler brushing vibration. I did not try it with the soft brush head as I prefer the floss action head. This toothbrush comes with a wall charger, a few brush head options, as well as a travel case that has a charging port built-in and a slot to hold your phone so you can use the app while brushing. If you are a visual person like me, you will love the app. I thought I had been brushing my teeth effectively, but with the app visualizations, I learned I had been missing a few spots. The visual feedback encouraged me to spend more time around each tooth as I could see what I had brushed (shown as blue teeth/spots versus those I had thoroughly covered shown as white teeth/spots). The app gives you trophies for 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180 and 365 day streaks of brushing, flossing, rinsing, tongue cleaning as well as offering timed journeys to improve gum care, plaque reduction, whitening, and fresh breath. It is important to note that the app will not count your daily brushing as a completed day unless you brush 2x in the same day. I became aware of this after I first used it, as I started my routine in the evening rather than the morning. There is a tool in the app that allows you the export brushing history to PDF so you could share your habits with your dentist or check up on your child's use. The grip on this toothbrush is a little larger in circumference than my previous brushes, which I really appreciated since that makes things easier to grasp for me. Someone with petite hands might not like the grip as much as a different or older Oral B power handle. If you are ready to step up your toothbrushing game or need to help a younger family member embrace good oral hygiene, get this toothbrush!

I am a proud father of a toddler boy with zero cavities because I thought I was good at routine dental care. I had a cavity once every several years, but overall always told my teeth were in good health. Which surprises me because I drink metric tons of coffee daily. Then I upgraded from a regular toothbrush to a smart toothbrush. The Oral B app (iOS for me) gives you a graphic representation of your teeth, and the default timer is set to 2 minutes (the dentist recommended time to brush). It cycles through zones, and if you brush too hard, which I rapidly discovered I do, the app flashes red and tells you very subtly to "REDUCE PRESSURE." You can adjust the time to brush, as well as target specific areas of your teeth. The toothbrush itself uses Oral B's circular brush heads. I don't know if the advert that the circular brush heads are a better shape, but compared to a regular manual toothbrush, I feel like my teeth feel cleaner. Can safely say I can't go back to using regular "dumb" toothbrushes. Handle is a comfortable weight to hold, and the included carrying case lets me take the brush with me on trips. Highly recommend.

I have used electric toothbrushes for a while now and I really love this one. The App is easy to install and it gives good data in regard to your brushing habits. I really like the hand feel as well as how it is easy to maneuver around in the mouth. Like the commercials say this is like the polisher your dentist uses and the small round head makes it easy to navigate around every tooth. I also love the travel case. It not only carries two heads (perfect for us on the road) but it also allows you to plug the case in to keep the unit charged. This is very nice to have full protection without the hassle of needing to bring the smaller base I use everyday in the bathroom. Packed with other features I look forward to using this for years to come.

This is a great toothbrush! It's the first nice electric one I've ever had and I don't think I'll ever go back to a manual one. Its smart features are great! The feature in the app that shows that you've brushed each area for a sufficient amount of time is surprisingly helpful. I think the reminders for replacing brush heads will be very handy as well. The different settings are nice too, since I have sensitive teeth. The gentle setting is easy enough that I haven't experienced any discomfort when brushing. It's easy to use, quick to charge, and has a nice charging case for travel which I haven't seen in any other electric brush. This one is a winner for sure and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to impress their dentist :)

I have been using some old oral B electric toothbrush for years now but this is so much better. Inside the box you get three brush heads, the charger , and a case that also charges it and a full size USB port to charge your device like a phone. This also has Bluetooth so you can connect it to your phone through an app and tells you how you’re doing as well. It comes in very handy telling you if you brushed well enough or not by telling you if you did it too hard or if you skipped certain parts as well.

I ordered this item online but after charging it for an entire day and pairing it with my phone the only thing that the genius x could do was turn on and off And use the standard daily cleaning mode. The brushing mode button was defective you could not switch modes at all.

This is the latest technology found in premium toothbrushes. It includes several extra attachments that are easy to replace. Charge time is quick and it last several days on three times a day two minute brushes. If you want to get really high tech you can connect it to your smartphone for detailed feedback during brushing. If you are looking for the best, you can search no further.

This is my first Oral B toothbrush and so far it's pretty cool. I had a sonic one that was ok but after years of use it won't charge anymore. So I decided to give this one a try. I never thought about a smart toothbrush till I saw this one. It's actually a good idea and helps you brush better with the app. It kind of makes brushing more interesting and entertaining. Not sure how long the novelty will last but the app isn't required for brushing your teeth. I think kids might brush better with the app and there's also a game app which kids will like. Comes with a nice charging case and also a charging base. Three types of brush heads included too. Has different brushing modes and timer built in. It's the most high tech toothbrush I've seen yet. Oral B's website has one that costs even more but I'm not sure it's better just has more brush heads. My teeth should be cleaner than ever now.

The Oral-B Genius X toothbrush is truly the state of the art in personal dental care. This is my second electric toothbrush and this brush definitely brings the features. It has six different selectable modes of operation, an LED light that provides various status indications (including a selectable color to differentiate your toothbrush from an identical one used by a spouse or roommate), and of course - smartphone app integration. The smartphone app integration is pretty cool - the brush must have positional sensors in it as the brush knows exactly which quadrant and which section (inside, top, or outside) of the teeth you are brushing. In real time, the app will show you which teeth you are brushing, and where you need to cover to ensure you have brushed all areas of your mouth. It also provides feedback via the app and via flashing/haptic feedback if you are pushing a little too hard as a warning to lighten up a bit. Once your brushing is complete, the app gives you a coverage score and pointers to do better on your next brushing session if any are available. Included with the brush is the brush itself, 3 brush heads, AC adaptor, a home charging stand, and a travel charging case. The included brush heads are a nice inclusion, as it lowers your cost on consumables for your first few brush head swaps. The AC adaptor and home stand are pretty standard - a pro for the home stand is it takes up a super low profile - it's not much larger around than the toothbrush itself. The travel case is actually pretty decent - it will transport the toothbrush body, and two toothbrush heads. I'm not sure if it's designed for multiple users to swap heads, or simply to put a replacement head in the second toothbrush head compartment. Either way, the travel case requires you to bring along your AC adaptor from the home stand. The travel case also has a USB charging port, which allows you to plug in a standard USB cable and charge a USB device while your toothbrush is charging in the case. The travel case also serves as a smartphone holder so you can use it to hold your smartphone in a convenient viewing angle, apparently to use with the Oral-B app when you're on the go. I travel for work frequently, and therefore bring this toothbrush with me wherever I go. I frequently take only a backpack that contains my laptop, clothes, shoes, and toiletries and this travel case fits, but ideally would be slightly smaller. If taking a carry-on or checking a bag - no worries, it takes up a minuscule amount of space. One glaring miss on the design here is that the travel case does not have a battery. The toothbrush itself will last for about 2 weeks on a charge. Ideally, the travel case would be able to be charged on its own, and then when the toothbrush is in the travel case it would get a charge from the battery within the travel case. With the capacity of the toothbrush itself on a full charge, plus reserve in the travel case -most would be able to leave the AC adaptor at home for all but the longest trips. One thing I do like about the Oral-B electric toothbrush ecosystem is the variety of replacement heads that are available, as well as the cost of the replacement heads - they are quite affordable and readily available. There's not too many downsides to this toothbrush, as it is on the high end of both the features and price scale for electric toothbrushes. I will admit that I don't use the app every time I brush, so I wish that it did have an audible alert that let me know when it's time to switch to a different quadrant (I.e. in a 2 minute brushing session, every 30 seconds beep to let me know when to move on. The LED ring will flash to indicate this, but it also flashes for too much pressure so that can be a bit confusing.) The other thing I did note is that when brushing with the app, if I brush for two minutes, then switch modes to "tongue clean" it seems to reset the timer on the session and the app will say that it does not record sessions less than 30 seconds, even though I've been brushing for almost 2 minutes 30 seconds. Lastly, the switching between modes seems to simply adjust the speed of the brush head. It may affect the overall movement of the brush head, but I typically leave it in "Daily Clean' and move to "Tongue Clean" when appropriate. Overall, if you're looking for the toothbrush with the most techno-features and included options - look no more because this is it.
