I streamed the series on Netflix and liked it so much, I got the bluray on sale at Best Buy. It's definitely a new take on the women in prison stories. The characters have their serious issues and this is what draws you in as a viewer. It can be deep, but it's also funny.

I do not have a Netflix account so was happy to see they release the series on blu-ray. The series was a big hit on Netflix that a physical copy of the series was needed. 13 episodes for the first season, saves lots of buffering if you were to watch online with slow internet.

Got this on Blu Ray on sale in a best buy store. It's a very good show with a good cast and good acting. It's a Netflix show and I don't have and never have had Netflix so didn't know what to expect but it's very good and I plan on watching seasons 2 and 3 also.

I had heard so much hype about this series i was expecting to be let down. i had high expectations and this series fully lives up to it. the characters are great. the story lines are fulfilling. their is humor and drama. I love it and cant wait for the second season to start.

Orange is the New Black is a show I'd heard a lot of praise on. I'm so glad I decided to buy the Bluray as the show is great. You'd think it would be difficult to relate to characters in a women's prison, but you quickly become emotionally bonded to them. Love this show.

If you're like me and don't have Netflix, this is a must buy. A great series. Another must watch in this, golden age of television. Great price for a complete season on Blu-Ray. Buy it, invite friends and have a viewing party. It's that good! Really it's just that good!

My 30 something daughter loved this show, but not having a dvr, she missed seeing many of the programs. When I saw this boxed set available at Best Buy, I bought it. She was ecstatic. Now she could watch it at her leisure and catch up on shows she missed..

I had never seen this show before I purchased it at best buy but it is a really good show!! I have been trying to find season 2 on DVD every since lol. It's an extremely entertaining show so as soon as da season 2 comes to disc, I'll be buying that one too.

Watching Piper learn her way around litchfield was hilarious from red denying her food to Alex getting put on there with her & seeing their history was amazing...the only reason why I got Netflix

Bought "Orange is the new Black" to see what all the fuss was about and since I don't use Netflix Bestbuy's discounted offer was a steal. It's really a great program so now I'm thinking Netflix may be in my future after-all.

Hi. Of course one can buy just the DVD set, but for the same price, I would simply recommend getting this because why not get the digital code in addition for free and be able to watch on your laptop or phone free anytime you want?!

Hard not to get engaged in the stories of the characters -- major and minor characters are well developed. Series adds some spice to the national discussion on race, gay and lesbian culture, and US jails. The inmates, the guards, the adminstrators, the affected families on the outside have their share of good and bad guys. Interesting 2014 addition to US programming. Leaves you wanting to know what's next.

I've had so many friends AND strangers where I work telling me that I have to watch this show. I don't like Netflix so I went ahead & purchased the DVD set. Can't wait to start watching it.

A dear friend of mine insisted that I watch this show. I was hesitant innitally, but he badgered me into watching. I began on a Friday evening, and finished watching early Sunday morning.

Ok, I wasn't sure about this but after House of Cards, I expected another hit from Netflix and they didn't disappoint. It's funny, sad, a little raunchy at times and you can't stop watching it. Kudos to Netflix for releasing all their episodes at once.

This show is based on the book written by Piper Kerman. It follows her experiences in prison while serving a 15-month prison sentence for smuggling drugs which occurred 10 yrs prior. The end result is a dramedy of the lives of all the prisoners.

I know streaming is all the rage these days but I guess I'm old fashioned and just love having DVDs to pop in and enjoy. I've heard so much about this series and it doesn't disappoint!! Great quality and ended up purchasing season 2!!

This series is the sole reason I subscribed to Netflix. It was so good, I had to purchase the blue ray copy to add to my collection and share with my friends. Season 2 is just as suspenseful and can't wait until it's available in stores.

I was sort of skeptical about the show but when told it's a really great show by certain people, I had to watch for myself and never turned back. They were absolutely right.

This is an awesome show with great production quality, acting, and story line. Check it out on Netflix first (it is a Netflix original series) and if you love it as much as I did, then it is a must own item. Definitely a great dramedy!
