I have to give serious credit to both the developers of this series and the writers. I normally wouldn't find myself intrigued about a cast of characters in a prison setting. The reason I was initially drawn to this series is because of Taylor Schilling. I really enjoy her as a actress and I have seen her in other series and some films. The series also has Kate Mulgrew who has been around for a long time and always delivers a great performance. This series has such a unique and diverse group of characters that consist of both prisoners and the prison staff. The character development is so unique and well thought out. I consider this series a "dramedy", which almost equal parts drama and comedy. This series specializes in twists and turns that you don't always see coming. I would give season two 4.5 stars. I got a great price at BestBuy for season 2 on Blu-ray that I couldn't pass up.

The Main characters changes prison after the events that happened at the end of first season and she has to adjust to her new status change. Back at her all prison, one of the cliques gets a new leader who seems determined to make enemies out of everyone else while trying to gain control of everything. Meanwhile the people running the prison are just trying to keep the jobs while keeping the inmates from rioting. Lots of past relationships are flipped on their ear and we can only guess on who will make it out of prison, dead or alive.

Season One sent us spiraling with it's finale as we left off with Chapman committing a pretty violent crime inside a federal prison. Now how far will Piper Chapman go to upset everybody close to her while just trying to find herself? I don't know if an actual women's penitentiary has daily lesbian trysts in the chapel, or if they're allowed to grow their own vegetables. But if I was allowed to imagine they could, I'd imagine a lot would go down like it does in the second season of Orange is the New Black. A now all star cast supported by newcomers and veterans, along with even more criminal antics and personal history flashbacks makes this season just as engaging and delicious as the first. Also, more naked chicks and people getting electrocuted. Good stuff.

Like A fine wine, this series keeps getting better and better with time. I have Netflix so I can pretty much watch the show as many times as I want on there, so for me to take time out of my busy schedule to go out to my nearest Best Buy and money out of my pocket to purchase a copy of it on Blu-ray it must mean that it's definitely worthwhile. I'm definitely looking forward to the release of season three on Blu-ray and season four on Netflix later this year.

Orange is the New Black is more than just a television series, it is an event. Every June for the last few years, I've looked forward to wearing my pajamas and doing nothing else than binge-watch an entire season in one sitting. Season 2 of Orange is the New Black has been my favorite, so far. It has a great season long arch with new characters that pays off amazingly in that last episode. A must own show in my collection!

The continuation of Piper's incarceration is followed in OITNB, season 2. Along with the other inmates, it is a wonderful look into life, love, limitations, and choices. Far better than Oz, which was a violent in your face approach to facilities, this actually offers compassion, and life on a smaller scale. Wonderful acting, wonderful stories, a drama that you can envelop and watch with angst.

Building on a wonderful Season 1, Season 2 continues to amaze. The characters are exceptional and the story is even more compelling. Similar to Season 1, although it's all available on Netflix, provided you're a subscriber, I couldn't pass this up on Black Friday for such a cheap price -- especially when there's no guarantee Netflix won't pull the show.

This season comes back with our favourite characters from season 1 and delivers more twists and turns in the plot. Still behind bars, these ladies have zaney encounters and some that get heated. You learn more back stories and pick new favourites. Definitely a show to watch and keep track of. Way to go Netflix! This show is worth your viewing time.

One of a kind Series! I've never seen anything like it before. Netflix seems to put out quality Shows consistently. The way the Writers mix the Drama with the Comedy in this Show is perfect and superb. It's hard to watch one Episode at a time, I recommend doing a Marathon on a rainy day with some Chinese Food!

This series is not for everybody. But if you have an open mind. You will diffidently enjoy this series. The characters are very interesting they all seem to have their own personalities. A lot goes on but the writing is always good and dead on. There is never a dull moment I really like this show.

There's a reason Orange is the New Black has received so much critical acclaim: it's really good. Set in a women's prison, OitNB does a fantastic job of curating the various characters found within and weaving the unique roller-coaster ride Piper Chapman is experiencing while serving several years behind bars as an inmate in a women's correctional facility for a crime she committed nearly a decade before. One of the more unique shows out there; truly an "original"!

I know streaming is all the rage these days but I guess I'm old fashioned and just love having DVDs to pop in and enjoy. I've heard so much about this series and it doesn't disappoint!! After getting season 1 it was time to get season 2! Great quality! I'm now waiting for season 3 to come out.

Never watched Orange is the new black so I thought buying season 1 and season 2 for a long road trip would be great. It was a good watch, funny, interesting, a total chick flick but make sure you watch it when the kids are sleeping or if you are on a road trip like I was make sure you are wearing headphones with no kids sitting behind you its 100% an adult show but I enjoyed it. Its not as funny and interested as WEEDS was but it was still good.

I REALLY ENJOYED ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK SEASON ONE SO I PURCHASED SEASON TWO, I HAVEN'T WATCHED THE ENTIRE SEASON 2 BUT I TRULY LOVE THIS SUPER SHOW. IT IS GREAT ENTERTAINMENT, I WILL BE WATCHING THE SECOND DISC SOON. AS SOON AS SEASON THREE COMES OUT I WILL BE BUYING THAT TO.

OITNB is a series that is addictive. You get very much invested in these characters and how they deal with incarceration and their own adversities, but its not all negative, they look for the best of their situation and get into some interesting happenings.

The first season of this show was absolutely excellent and I felt like it would be very difficult to top the first season but they did it! The 2nd season was so much better than the first! If you have not seen it yet, I highly recommend it! It's so good!!!

The only thing I dislike about "Orange" is the fact that at the end of the season it leaves you wanting so much more. So yes, Season 2 is a blast. The best part is the final minute of the season, you will laugh and cheer! You will not see THAT one coming!

This picks up right were it left off. This season the action continues but seems to focus on the inner racial rivalry of the inmates. Some older convicts return to prison to find it not like it had been and they attempt to return it to what it once was.

After watching the first season and loving it, I watched the entire second season within a few days. I couldn't stop watching, it was so good. It's so interesting and entertaining, I can't wait to get the next season on DVD so I can watch that.

Word of mouth from trusted friends indicate this is a series worh watching. Plan on binge watching seas 1 and 2 shortly. I am sure the blu ray discs will cover the series adequately but cannot give an expert review until I watch the episodes.
