Not what I expected

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.You can't imagine if you use this blender for just blueberries juice, you still have to hold the blender to avoid this unit jumping. I believe it is a design problem, the weight of the stand is too light, where the power is on, it is too strong to keep the unit stand alone stably on the counter top. Don't waste your time even Best Buy offer free ship, it takes time to bring it back to return.

Expected Better from an Oster Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Oster blenders for over 40 years and always regarded them as a quality built appliance but this model was a huge disappointment. It comes with a nice heavy glass jar and lid that fits tightly but the blades are undersized and incapable of making frozen drinks or crushing ice without constantly having to redistribute the jar's contents by hand. While in operation, the motor emmits a smell of burning electrical wire which makes me wonder how long before the motor gives out. Simply put, Oster has dropped it's standards along with it's price on this model.

Jar isn't covered by warranty

After a few months a crack formed down the side of the jar so I called Oster. They said the jar is not covered under the warranty, only motor operation. A new jar costs almost as much as we paid for the blender, so the warranty really should cover the jar too.
