After several attempts on differing bottles, I was able to return it. Good for Best Buy unfortunate for Oster.

Good for synthetic corks too

The cutter is great, too. I am still trying to figure out how long the battery lasts if not plugged in. I just hate to use electricity unnecessarily. But, the ease of opening a bottle is great.
