Excellent purchase for someone who doesn't use it frequently but I have now used it for bread bagels and English muffins, and it has cooked very evenly and rapidly.

I had an Oster toaster that was many years old and was not toasting as well when it was new. Decided to go with this one for 4 reasons. First, it was number three on a list of best toasters. Second, unlike the first on the list at $99, this toaster was under $20. Third, it is black and grey/silver, which matches the other appliances in the kitchen. My only criticism is the retired toaster had metal sides and this new one is made of plastic (like most everything else in the world these days). Not a problem so long as the casing holds up as long as the heating elements.

We looked at others on display and thought this was the best value. We've had it for about 2 months and it works great.

Great deal for a secondary toaster

Didn't want anything fancy or expensive as we only need it occasionally. Works well for our needs. Wide slice for bagels is awesome. Has cancel button for pop up quick.

However, at this price, it is a very good purchase - unless you are very picky about 'even' toasting on both sides of the bread.
