I own three iPhone 6s Plus and a 5s. I purchased one each of a Defender, a Ballistic Tungsten Tough and Ballistic Tungsten Slim to easily identify each Space Gray 6s Plus unit. I thought the Defender was a bit of overkill compared to the Ballistic Tungsten Slim, but those cases are impossible to find in stores, so I looked to Otterbox since I loved it for my iPad Air 2. I exchanged the 5s Defender for the Commuter because it is a simpler case to deal with. I don't like screen protectors so having the option to toss the plastic cover was fantastic. I also like the two-piece design of the case - simple removal for monthly cleaning of the iPhone. I haven't dropped my 5s yet with the Otterbox, but I am sure it will protect as well as the Ballistic cases do. As for Ballastic, I LOVE those cases. I intentionally drop my 128GB 6s Plus from my ear (6'1") to prove just how effective their cases protect from damage. I like the look and slim profile of the Otterbox. Im not a fan of the new Ballistic case design, so when I get an iPhone 7s Plus (skipping the 7 Plus) I will likely get the Otterbox.

I love how its so much lighter and thinner than the other ottorboxes...it doesn't add extra weight or feel lumpy....I've dropped my phone plenty of times and it protect it's to the fullest! Oh and it comes in cute colors

I am now on my 3rd Otterbox Commuter case. This is my case of choice because of the 2 layer design. There is a silicone bumper wrap and a hard shell outer protection layer. Also, all ports are covered with moveable pieces on the phone, so no dirt, water, or general yuck gets into the headphone jack or charging connector. I require a case that has a bumper around the face of the phone, because I have dropped my iPhone several times, face down. The Otterbox has saved my screen more times than I can count. What I do not like about this product is if you purchase a color combition and the silicone is white, it will stain. No amount of scrubbing, bleach, oxyclean or any other product will remove the stains. I recommend buying a dark color. Also, I have had the plastic protective outer layer break at the bottom where it opens for plugging phone in to charge. (on my previous Iphone 4s case) I currently have the Iphone5 case, and so far, it has held up well.

I ended up buying 4 of these iphone boxes. The price was OK and the boxes worked perfectly .

The sound button on our phone was too protruded. This case solved 2 problems {silent & shock}.

I love this case I have dropped it several times and my phone is totally fine!

Dropped my purse which had my phone in it and the screen shattered, only dropped it from a height of about 4ft. Had the phone for less then a week. The screen protector did keep all shards together.

The case is pretty great. It's nice in size, color, and durability. When you put the phone in the case, the rubber part can get stretched out. The part near my home button is stretched and it sticks out, but other than that I love this case.

I purchased this case for an iPhone SE that I recently bought. I've had Otter cases before and have been pleased with how well they protect your phone from accidental drops. I found the case was easy to install and it even came with a screen protector. It's not too bulky, which would be a concern as I like the slimness of the phone, so bonus points for this. Overall I am pleased so far with this.

Great value for the price! I usually get the bulkier otter box, but wanted something sleeker that wouldn't be so huge. I've dropped my 5S five times already, no issues so far. :) The only problem I have is that my non-Apple headphone jack is blocked by the case, so I can only use headphones with a straight jack or take it out of the case. Overall an awesome, sleek case.

I chose this case for my new iPhone because it was a good price and it wasn't too bulky to keep in my pocket. It looks nice and stays clean. I like that it also keeps all buttons covered except one. I feel it will keep my phone safe should I accidentally drop it.

Love this sturdy iPhone case. The color is awesome and the case protects my phone perfectly. I have dropped it many times and it has saved my phone from being damaged every time.

So I have three Otter Boxes (one for my phone, one for my wife's phone, and this one for my daughter's phone). I normally swear by them but this one cracked as my daughter was removing after about two weeks. She wasn't doing anything unusual (I saw it crack) and I would consider it normal usage. Very disappointing. BB made an exception and allowed her to exchange. (Normally they would have told me to contact the manufacturer.) My other two work great and really protect our phones from accidental drops. I do recommend the Zagg Shield HD with these however. The combination of the two provides full protection from screen and case scratches and damage. I have this on my Samsung Galaxy SIII and it survived my coworker throwing my phone 20 feet and it hitting the pavement. (Long story that involved me leaving my phone on one side of a train track and being on the other when a train was approaching...)

OtterBox is one of the few brands I truly trust to protect my phone. I used to have the OtterBox Defender, but it was too bulky and the rubber part was on the outside which caused too much friction when trying to pull it in and out of pockets (practically turned your pockets inside out). Having the rubber part on the outside also meant the rubber got stretched out over time. I like that the OtterBox Commuter still has a rubber part, it's just on the inside and the hard plastic part is on the outside. The OtterBox Commuter is also much slimmer than the Defender. The included screen protector is pretty minimal, so I would recommend a higher quality screen protector to be used with this case.

I've dropped my Iphone about 7 times, and it doesn't even have a scratch, thanks to this case. It's not too bulky, and fits in my pocket or my purse. And its color is beautiful, I love it <3

This case provides great protection without all the bulk of other cases. I am a Telecommunications Engineer and work in the field a lot. I have dropped my phone at least once a week for 3 years with the original case, and the phone was unaffected. The case withstood this beating also. What finally killed the original case was getting myself caught in a pinch point and the case broke at the charge cord/aux 1/8" port end (again the phone was protected). I only replaced the old case with this one because the case was left with a piece of plastic sticking out and would snag in my pocket.

I love the Otter Box Commuter case for my iPhone 5. It is not too bulky and easy to put on. This is my second Otter Box Commuter case for the same phone but the first one did its job. I can't count the number of times that I have dropped my phone by accident whether by me or my child and the phone has recovered without a scratch. It has fallen out of my pocket as I was getting out of the car (onto concrete)...and has held up with just scratches to the case. So, when the old case (outer layer) finally cracked after another drop, I knew that I would just replace it with the same one. The other cosmetically pretty ones are cute and tempting but I prefer the practical and durable Otter box case cuz it really protects my $700 phone!

I've owned an iPhone 5 Otterbox Commuter for a couple years now, and I drop my phone almost weekly. I'd like to upgrade to a 6 Plus, but decided to wait until the price comes down. When I noticed cracks had developed on the hard plastic layer of the Commuter, I removed the case and found the iPhone is still in perfect condition. So, I've decided a second Otterbox Commuter is well worth the price compared to the number of times I would've had to replace the iPhone by now. I could even get full trade-in value on the phone if I wanted to at this point. For me, this case is worth the investment.

I have used poor quality phone cases ever since I got my first iPhone 6 years ago. I've gone through at least one case a year because they've cracked or broken after a few drops. When I upgraded to the 5S, I finally put up more money for this Otterbox. I absolutely love the color, and while I haven't had a severe drop yet, it has held up wonderfully after one month of using it. The case comes with a screen protector and you can hardly see it. The one thing I would say is that it is a bit difficult to take off and put on, but if that helps protect my phone, I'm fine with it!
