This is a great case for protection without the unnecessary bulk. I feel confident if I drop my phone it will be safe. It adds a little weight, of course, but not like the other similar item made by Life-something.

This otter box case seems good for both protection and design

I haven't had a major drop yet but this case seems offer good protection.I found it easy to install.

I purchased this model for its reasonable level of protection while still having a slim fit. So far it has met what I was hoping for. My only complaint is the screen protector. I wish it was tempered glass. I purchased a replacement protector on-line. Otherwise I am very happy so far.

I bought this case on a whim, because I had heard good things abut Otterbox and I liked the look of it. The case didn't appear too bulky, but would probably offer decent protection. I didn't realize that the case was actually two pieces: a rubber sleeve, and a hard shell that fits over that. I didn't mind it, except for the fact that the design creates a bunch of seams that can trap debris. Also, if you read user reviews, some people complain that the fit isn't quite right, so there's a noticeable gap at the top between the rubber and plastic. I noticed, but it was a tiny nitpick in my opinion. Another thing I noticed is that the rubber sleeve partially covers the headphone jack. At first I thought the intention was to fully expose the jack, but I think they actually meant to cover it completely. You are able to access the jack by peeling away the rubber tab over that spot. My other issue with the case is that the rubber sleeve didn't fit snugly... around the screen, the rubber would lift easily, another place where dirt was trapped easily. Overall, the case had a nice rugged feel to it, and its added bulk wasn't too excessive for me. But I didn't like how poorly the rubber fit the phone, and as a result it trapped debris easily. I ended up returning for a different case.

The Defender case by Otterbox is a great way to protect your iPhone 6. The case is strong and sturdy with a protective plastic screen that covers and protects your phone from the inevitable drops it will sustain. It's not a matter of if you'll drop your phone, it's when. And when that time comes, you'll be glad your protected with the Otterbox!

I have always liked the commuter better than the defender....its thinner and doesn't have a connected plastic sheild for the screen protecter, I would recommend a good screen shield other than what's provided with the case, and it seems to protect against drops better since its rubber on the corners...only brand and case I fully trust
