OtterBox is the ONLY way to go for protection to your phone. Love the Defender series. I may look old school wearing my phone on my hip, but the phone isn't susceptible to falling out of my pocket!

This is a really nice case I've always used OtterBox for my previous phone so when I receive a new phone I know I have to put it in a OtterBox case for protection, I would definitely recommend this case

I bought this case because I wanted the maximum protection for my phone and decided to return the Commuter OtterBox that I had purchased. My main criticism is that the schematic installation directions provided were worthless and I don't think I would have figured out how to do it without YouTube videos. It would be so easy for OtterBox to tell you that what looks like a single piece case when you unbox it is actually the fully assembled case that has three parts to it and that it has to be completely disassembled in order to install it. Even with help of the videos, it took me about an hour to install it. I hope that the extra work is worth it. While drop demonstrations on YouTube were impressive, I don't want to purposely drop it to see how well it works. The only thing covered by the OtterBox warranty is damage to the case. It would also be helpful if BestBut would include two thickness numbers for this case. I didn't purchase it initially because the thickness given, 1.33 inches, would have been way too bulky for my pocket. The 1.33" includes the thickness of the belt holster, which is optional to use or not. The thickness of the case itself is about the same as for the Commuter model. If you are planning to install a camera or screen protector, be sure to do so before you install the Defender to save yourself the work of removing the case.

This is a good case. It's not exactly a thing of beauty, but for protecting your phone, I don't know how you could get anything better. I carry my phone in my back pocket and this case "grips" the material just enough it will not come out unexpectedly, much better than some slick cases I have had that can slide out. One downside, because the case is fairly bulky it doesn't fit all the cubby holes on my car console the way I would like. I've managed to find some workarounds, but this case has big, round, rubberized corners. All of that said, I would buy another one just like it.

Some may find defender series phone cases overpriced. Believe me it protects your investment (phone). Its easier to replace a $100 case. Then a $1000 phone. The reason I didn't give 5 stars. Are the fact this case doesn't come with the built-in screen protector found for other phones in this series. So you still have to buy a separate screen protector. Secondly is just how difficult it can be to separate the 3 parts of the case. Not the clip part. But the rubber part that goes over the two plastic pieces that snap together. The two plastic pieces are a challenge to separate and feels like the fasteners could break if you apply too much force. So once you get your case on. Hope you dont have to take it bake off in the long run. Other then assembly and not having the screen protector. Amazing phone case.

Dropped phone on floor, broke a corner piece off the plastic belt clip holder. Had to buy new. Good protector but had to buy the whole kit.

The OtterBox Defender is the best phone protection on the market based on my experience. My son usually destroys phones. Wouldn't buy anything else for his phone - or mine!

Fits tightly on the phone and is a lot more sleek than i had initially thought it would be. Feels like it's made of a nice but rugged material.

Good protection of your phone not too balky easy to handle solid pick up

I replaced my Tech 21 case with this. The Tech 21 had buttons that were separated and the buttons came out. Unfortunately, you have to purchase a whole new case, as they do not sell the buttons separately. The OtterBox buttons are integrated and do not come out. The OtterBox case is very durable and does not slide out of your hands because it has a rubber case. I really like the new case.

2 complaints first is the box does not have installation instructions. I initially just tried to insert my phone in had not for youtube, i would have broken my phone trying to insert it. Second is the price. too expensive

I've used OtterBox DEFENDER PRO for my last 3 phones. It offers 2 features that I have found hard to do without. It provides coverage of the charging outlet that keeps out dirt and water and stands up to the multiple openings and closings. The case itself is thick providing outstanding phone protection but it won't fit into slim pockets. It comes with an additional hard cover with a belt clip that I always use. It keeps my phone handy when attached inside my handbag and is especially useful in warmer weather keeping my hands free while walking my dog and gardening. The belt clip and the thicker case virtually eliminates accidental loss of your phone. It does not come with face shield so you'll need to buy one. While it adds to the price, combined with this case, it will keep your phone in like new condition.

I love otterbox cases. fits the phone great. Wish they would go back to putting a screen protector as part of the case.

Its has good protection all around all 4 corners of the phone. Nice grip. Premium feel. Add a screen protector from Zagg and youlls be well protected.

I have a tendency to throw my phone in a bag or onto the couch. This case makes me feel like I can do that without worrying. I also like the heavy feel. It feels substantial.

I've always used decorative phone cases but the Best Buy salesman talked me in to an OtterBox. It affords a level of protection that I never thought possible.

Solid product, protects my phone well. The waist holder did break on me after about a month, but thats myfault.
