This is a great case. Offers the most protection of any I've used, and at a great price from Best Buy. I will use nothing else on my phone.

My wife and I bought this new, specifically to protect as much as possible our hand-me-down iPhone 5's to our kids. This case is the toughest and thickest case I've ever seen, and works exactly as intended: thermonuclear children protection! Kidding aside, our kids drop their phones DAILY for weeks and weeks, but never get damaged due to the amazing thick sturdy construction of this case. The only drawback is you cannot buy this model without the belt clip, which of course our kids don't want and sit in a drawer.

Very durable. Fair price easy to insert phone. You can charge phone while in the case. Case does not effect volume.

I bought new I phone and wanted something to cover it and protect and colorful and perfect fit.

Does a great job at protecting the phone. Its a bit bulky as are all Otterbox Defender cases(no surprise there).

My Otterbox saved the day on several occasions -- the most recent of which was when the TSA agent at the airport unceremoniously flipped the bin and sent my phone crashing to the floor. The screen was fine, the phone was fine and I went on my merry way. I don't especially care for how easily the protective screen cover on the Otterbox scratches but it beats breaking the screen itself. It's a little bulkier than I would like, but I'll take that over a broken phone any day.

This is my 3rd Defender series case (changed phs) and I am very satisfied. It protects the phone completely and it is not bulky.

I've owned many cases for my 5s. This is by far the best one I've ever owned. Easy to grip and still fits in my pocket.

This is the second cover that I have used. I keep going back to them as they fit well on the iPhone and protect the phone when dropped. Never have I had any issues with dropped phones while using the cover.

The Otter Box-Defender Series was purchased after my stubborn son told me how careful he is with his phone. Walking up two flights of stairs in his high school, his phone falls out his pocket and down a flight of stairs. His previous cheap phone protector broke and he took it off and never replaced it. Do not think you will not drop your phone and that it will crack...because it will. The Otter Box is used by every member of my family now.

The otter box is a quality case for your phone to protect from drops. It doesn't make the phone feel too bulky either.

The case is sturdy, durable and the color has not faded. The case doesn't obstruct from using all aspects of the iphone.

I am really hard on my phone since I work in construction. I have had other cases in the past but so far this has been the best one I have had. It's durable when I drop it and has protected my phone.

To answer the display sides... The way the sides of the case wrap around to the front of the sides of the display makes it (IMO) a little difficult to use the sides of the display, as in the letter/symbols/numbers on the keyboard closest to the sides of display can be tough to tap. But that is minor for the most part. As for DURABILITY! It has proven it is well made and does just that "protects". Case in point: I am a construction worker and of course accidents do happen. Climbing a exterior fire escape it came off my belt and fell 20 feet, and of course it had to hit everything on the way down (thought to myself "well thats gonna cost me"). Got to the phone and NOT even a scratch on it, I do mean the case and phone.
