I absolutely love my oura. I had the gen 3 for several years and made the jump to upgrade to the ceramic and it is such a beautiful color and fits so smooth compared to my gen3. Love love love!

Really happy with my purchase! I debated getting an Oura ring for years and am glad I finally pulled the trigger. The petal color is adorable and I really like the ceramic. I worried about scratching with wear and tear and thus far I don’t notice any blemishes. My job is really hands on so between that and the gym the ring quality is phenomenal. I love being able to track my sleep and see how environmental factors affect it. It has been a good wake up call for me to better monitor my stress. I recommend this product to anyone who has been on the fence! You won’t regret it.

As a night shift nurse, Oura ring has informed me of key factors of my health. At first, I thought I wouldn’t like the ring due to its bulky nature, but have found that it doesn’t bother me at all!
It has been helpful to see the trend of my stress levels as well as get insight into how sleep affects my day to day. I love knowing my heart rate and other vitals. I would recommend this ring to anyone looking to improve their overall health, mind and body!

I am delighted with the ring's performance and features. The sleep data it provides is incredibly insightful and has helped me understand my rest patterns better. Furthermore, the battery life is truly impressive, lasting for an extended period. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone seeking comprehensive health insights. It has been a valuable addition to my daily routine.

Such a great product that provides incredible insights into my health, especially my heart. I’ve been able to be more conscious of my sleep because of it too, which is something that I’ve struggled with all my life. I also like how it gives you data about your heart.. it motivates me to keep an active lifestyle!

Love the ring and the app. I gave 4 stars because I’ve only had the ring for a little over a week and it is already scratched in a couple of places. It shouldn’t be that fragile. I have to take it off when doing housework, washing dishes. Disappointing since the ceramic costs more than the metal - it should be more durable.

Got my ring 3 weeks ago. I was recently diagnosed with RA and it has already started helping me track when I’m about to have a flare up. Helps me understand a lot of what my body goes through each day. The ceramic white is so nice and goes with everything. I have small hands so it’s a little bulky for my fingers but I still love it.

I really enjoy the ring. It is a little bulky and it is important to do the sizing kit for comfort. There is a subscription for the ring app that is roughly $6/mo but it’s worth it!

Insight into sleep patterns is wonderful. The ring itself is pretty. A little bulky. Overall, I would recommend if you do step tracking or cycle tracking.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
I’ve never owned an Oura ring but have several friends that do and rave about them. As a long-time smart watch user, it was a nice change to have a more eloquent jewelry appearance.
SETUP
The app was easy to install, and it was very straightforward to link the ring to my account. The app is intuitive and very easy to use. The charger is compact and works with any USB-C charging cable. Initial charge took about an hour, and the ring was ready for use. The charger will turn green when ring is fully charged.
USE
Having never had a smart ring, I was a bit concerned about the comfort. I am not much of a jewelry wearer so getting used to it was probably more difficult than most. I did use the sizing-kit and it was very accurate. Due to all the sensors and features the ring is very thick. At first it was very uncomfortable, and I did not think I would be able to keep it for any length of time as it was more of an annoyance than I felt helpful. It took around 2 days for me to get used to wearing it and now I forget that I have it on. I do love the ceramic on the ring as I feel like it makes it more elegant and lowers the chance of scratching the ring with normal wear and tear. Also, I love that it is water resistant, so I don’t worry about leaving it on the counter while washing my hands.
Oura claims a 5-to-8-day battery life. I have used the ring for five days and received a notification that I was at 22%. Recharging took approximately 45 minutes to get back to 100%. I love the battery life as I’ve owned some smart watches that need charged every day and because of this inconvenience I found myself missing out of the sleep activity.
The Oura ring tracks so many things including sleep, activity, stress, readiness and women’s health. My two favorites are sleep tracking and readiness. While I have a competitor’s watch that tracks sleep, I love that this one tracks more sleep attributes. The Oura tracks total sleep, efficiency, restfulness, REM sleep, deep sleep, latency and timing. All of those are calculated to give you a sleep score and suggestions on how to improve your sleep. It also measures your average blood oxygen, your heart rate, your average HRV and lets you know if you are breathing regularly. I will say that compared to my watch my sleep score with the Oura is much higher, but it also measures far more data points to compute the score. I love the latency feature as I never knew in the past how long it took me to fall asleep. My time ranges from 5-20 minutes. At first, I was impressed until I read that target should be 15 to 20 minutes and less than 5 minutes is a sign of being overtired. The app also gives tips on how to get to sleep if having issues.
My second favorite feature is the readiness tracking. This tracks your resting heart rate, your heart rate variability, your body temperature, and respiratory rate. They combine this data with your sleep, sleep balance, activity balance and recovery index to give you a readiness score between zero and 100. Since it is the weekend my readiness score was higher than the past week. Today it offered encouragement by saying I gave myself downtime and my body and mind thanked me for it. With the fast-paced life we live it is nice to get encouragement for taking a break to recharge.
The activity tracker is standard with tracking steps, total calories burned, activity time and it sets a calorie burn goal for you and tracks progress towards that daily goal. The step count is within 200 steps of my watch so I would say, the Oura is very accurate. Heart rate and stress tracker are also standard and includes tracking your restorative time, stress (the amount of time your body has felt a high level of physiological stress), sleeping and activity to give you a stress time.
CONCLUSIONS
I am quite impressed with the Oura ring and all the features that come in such a small package. I am also impressed with the aesthetic of the Oura, it is fashionable and functional. I love all the data that is collected. I wake up and check it first thing to see how I slept and what my readiness is to prepare me for the day. There were two negatives with the Oura. First like I said prior I do not like are the initial getting used to wearing the ring and it was uncomfortable for the first 48 hours. I feel like it is thick due to all the sensors, so thick it makes my fingers seem un-natural as my pinky can’t touch my ring finger.
The second thing I do not love is the annual fee to get the data. The ring is pricy compared to a smart watch and I do not get texts, or phone calls on the Oura. Even with these two negatives, I would purchase an Oura ring. I feel like the data collected is invaluable, incredibly insightful and helpful.

This is my first Oura ring, but used different smartwatches, and the ring has several benefits.
The ring itself, mine in Midnight ceramic, is perfectly polished and with a blue hue. Almost black, slightly blue. It's a great color.
The ring is a bit thick so it's taking me a while to get used to it. It also feels slightly loose because it has to fit through my thick knuckles. I spent a few days using the sizing kit before I ordered mine. The sizing kit is a great way to make sure to order the correct size and experience the feeling of wearing the ring.
The charge lasts about a week, and the bigger the ring, the slightly larger the battery, or so it seems.
It comes with an aluminum ring holder/charger that charges it fast, using an USB-C phone charger (not included).
The ring doesn't vibrate nor generates any notifications, so it's not a replacement for a smart watch in that sense, but it collects some of the same information and more.
Actual sensors include an accelerometer, temperature sensor and light sensors.
The temperature sensor is not found on smartwatches and this is very important in context with other measures.
For me the main point is that I can wear this to sleep and it's unobtrusive.
It gave me a lot of information on sleep patterns that I didn't know for sure and needed to find out. It can determine the quality of sleep, including REM, light and deep sleep., duration and when each stage occurs, if there are any disturbances. During the day it can correlate stress levels.
This information is very important and presented in a meaningful way that I have not seen anywhere else.
The reason I got this ring is the quality of information it can infer and that I could not get with a smartwatch.
The application is very polished and unobtrusive. While many smartwatches show mostly raw data, Oura provides more context.
As my main objective was to track sleep, after the first week of use I have a better understanding of the phases in the sleep cycle, quality and quantity of sleep and what can I do with that information.
Overall, it's a great complement if not a replacement for a smart watch. It can track physical activity as well as a watch but more consistently as I don't need to remove it, even while sleeping. Only downside is getting used to wearing a thicker ring.
