An epic tale of love lost and the strength of human desire based on true experience. Fantastic scenery, acting (except for Redford shunning using an English accent for his character) and cinematography. This movie changed my opinion of Meryl Streep.

Only issue I have is u cannot use more than one gift card for on line purchases. There was an item I wanted to purchase - can only purchase on line and I had 2 gift cards to cover the cost. The other issue, cannot order on line items thru store.

First I must mention that the blu ray version has incredible extra features. I had not realized that besides this being an autobiographical novel-to-film, the author (played by Meryl Streep) also wrote "Babette's Feast" which received the best Foreign Film Oscar when it was released. Color, sound, picture, acting, script, etc is all top notch !

In my opinion the restored blue ray is the next best thing to being in the theatre. The natural beauty of Africa & the various animals shine brightly. Colors are natural and contrast good. Fine film grain is proof the restored film did not get DNR to death. First class restoration.

A romantic, heartbreaking movie that will stay with you for years to come. I don't even know how many times I've watched this movie over the years. The scenery is beautiful.

It was a gift. I took a friend to lunch and she learned that I hadn't seen it. With her thank-you note, she included money to buy the DVD. The music and scenery are beautiful; Streep is marvelous.

I heard that this was a classic movie. The movie is good the color's and beauty of the location is excellent.

Bought this as a Valentines gift for my wife...(her favorite flick). Watching an older film on a 4k TV and 4K Blueray player is like watching it in the theater but only better.

One of my all time movies with a haunting love story, the great musical score sends me somewhere only the music of Lawrence Of Arabia or Doctor Zhivago takes me. Unbelievable Film!!!

I usually enjoy this type of movies because it lets you into a different world that we are not familiar with, but is just too long and too slow. Still a good movie to watch one time.
