Volume two of the first season of the outstanding hit Outlander from STARZ. It is the adaptation of Diane Gabldon's first award winning book of the Outlander series. Sure to please both the book and tv fans. This DVD includes extended scenes, out takes and special features.

I've read these books and have been watching on STARZ from the very beginning. The TV series actually does the book series justice. As soon as season 2 was nearing its' end, I went out and purchased all of season 1 to watch from the beginning. IT'S JUST THAT GOOD!!!

Very beautiful scenery and historical aspects of the story of a battle nurse from WWII caught in the Scottish Highlands of the 1740s. I love the costumes, the dialogue and the beautiful depictions of the characters. Very true to the book as well if you are a fan.

Interesting time travel story, especially since the modern era that the main character comes from is the 1940's, so it's almost like a double time travel. Told from a woman's point of view which at times makes it feel like a romance novel come to life, and be warned, the romance does come to life quite graphically (mature audiences only). I found it compelling enough of a story to make me order season 1 part 2, and I'll likely be continuing with the series as long as it keeps up the quality.

This is a beautifully filmed series. I have read all of the books and find that this series has added new dimensions to the characters and settings. The talented actors have brought this story vividly to life.

My wife loves this series so much she has downloaded all the books. The storyline is pretty good. I enjoy it although not anywhere near as much as my wife. (Now she wants me to talk in a Scottish accent!)

Absolutely stunning story! If you have or have not read the books, this is an amazing TV series to each! The actors/actresses are perfect, the story is dead on, and I couldn't get enough! I cannot wait for more!

This show pulls you in for some intense and beautiful scenes. I didn't know what to expect before making this purchase and I was blown away by the story. Although it can be challenging to understand the Scottish accents at times. Make sure to put on subtitles!

This series has it all. Time travel, romance, danger, sword fights and men in kilts! It is beautifully written and set in gorgeous Scotland. The costumes are splendid. The production values are impeccable.

I love how closely it follows her books. It is very exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Anyone looking for an adventure show, this is it! I think the casting is great. The accents are well accomplished by the actors. Over all very well made.

Now this is a show that my wife just loves. She first read the books and is now engrossed in the series. She cant wait until the next season comes out and has to watch this again and again. It's about a WWII Scottish nurse that gets transported back in time 200 years. It follows her through that time as well as some 1940's drama. Lots of romance for the ladies and some scifi for the guys.

The Blu-ray comes loaded with extra features, including extended and deleted scenes and a tour of the set by the author. The show is beautifully done, and the blu-ray version really shows that quality.

I noticed this and it looked interseting. My Grandpa was English. I recently found out after my Grandma died that she was Scottish. Which made this all the more intriguing. I love it. Can't wait to be able to watch season 3. Unfourtanatly I don't have STARZ.

I had been hearing a lot of people liked this show but I don't get the channel it airs on. I was a bit hesitant to buy the DVD without seeing the show first, but it was on sale. It is a good show!

Faithful adaption of the book. Beautifully made and wonderful story line. The believable character portrayal by the actors. Sam Heughan (Jamie) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire) were as pictured in the book.

Such a fantastic series and really shines in stunning Blu-ray. Both the video and audio quality really standout above and beyond the original broadcast. Highly recommended for fans!

This is a great show with great historical content. And the costumes are unbelievable. This show makes me want to travel to Scotland. Because of this show I started reading the Outlander Series books.
