Installer was great. The Best Buy service department not so much. Wanted to charge me to solve their error. Thne disconnected me twice on chat. Don't seem to have issues with Alexa

Dont buy unless you need the flush mount to work with your kitchen cabinets. My cabinets are angled so it was necessary to clear cabinet doors. No carousel, very small.

The guys who removed old and installed the new one were professional. However, the next day the bottom of the microwave tilted forward. I was able to push it back in place. Also, I was disappointed when I noticed the metal hanger was left exposed. It could have been done better but I am grateful to have it done.

People where nice but I didn't notice till after they left the microwave was mounted to high and not locked into the tabs on the wall. I've called the company multiple times but haven't heard back

My original installation was a complete nightmare. The techs damaged my cabinet by drilling unnecessary holes. They damaged the vent system on the unit during the installation. The microwave did not work correctly after the installation. I contacted LG who told me that the unit was probably incorrectly installed so I called Best Buy and they said they would send someone out on Feb 24. After waiting all day no one showed no one called to give me any info so I spent 12 hours of waisted time. I called again and the said I would get a technician again on the next Friday as no one was available sooner. The techs that came today Mar 3, were great Brian and Kyle. They saw that the previous techs had done a complete botch job not only damaging my cabinet but also the extraction vent on the unit and my vent itself. They were able to do a repair of the damage sufficient enough for the unit to work properly. The techs that came today said that the first techs installed the unit with the old mounting bracket from my old microwave which was the reason the unit damaged the vents. I also had bits of wood chips blowing form the unit due to them drilling into my cabinets. The first installers also put a small hole in my hallway wall when leaving which I was able to patch and paint to do my own repair. The installers today were outstanding but were appalled at the first installers lack of professionalism. I will be going to the Best Buy shop to let the manager know what a horrible experience this has been.

Installation was fine and quick. However the kitchen was left a mess with dust from when they had to shave off the cupboard to fit the microwave.

I would never use geek squad ever again. Best Buy takes no responsibility of their work and you would only get hanged up by customer service if you find anything wrong of the service.
I brought a microwave. The guy did the installation was very inpatient and didn’t followed the instructions. It looked fine from outside when they finished. I took a look at the instruction manual and realized they missed a part. They took the package away so there was no way I can even try to fix it myself. I called him right way and asked him to check the package. He insisted there was nothing left in the package. So I had the call Kitchen Aid to reorder that part. It arrived in more than a week. When I tried to fix it myself, I found out the guy pushed one of the screw nut through with the screw. The nut was originally a part of the top cover of the microwave and is supposed to support half of the weight, so now only one side of my cabin is holding it. I can’t even uninstall it because the screw is stuck with the unreachable nut.
I called Best Buy right after, and they promised a reinstallation. That happened after another week. The guys came for the reinstallation were good. They pointed that the issue was because the hole was drilled too small and the screw was forced in with an angle, and also spotted some other wrong doings. They promised I would get a call for another exchange appointment. That never happened. I called back after a few days. Spent more than an hour talking to 2 customer agents. First one put me on hold for at least 15 minutes because he needed to check with a supervisor and hanged up. The second one also put me on a long hold and came back saying I couldn’t get an exchange because there had been more than 15 days since the first installation, and asked me to use manufacturer warranty, and hanged up on me again when I was questioning why kitchen aid should pay for their fault. So I guess Best Buy expects every customer to be an expert of all of their services and is capable of pointing out wrong doings and ask for an exchange right away. Any delay or any attempt of a repair/reinstallation would put one out of their 15 days windows.
So stay away with geek squad. The workers take no responsibility of their job, and neither does Best Buy.

We bought this microwave in Sept of 2023 and the handle has already broken. and replacement handle is almost $100! Super disappointed in the quality of this microwave.
Also, many vendors that sell the replacement handles for this microwave are sold out. Which tells you that this is NOT an isolated issue with these microwaves

The crew seemed to be racing the clock. Just before they left, I noticed the exhaust fan grill plates still in the box (forgot to install) which they then did. After they left, I found a bag labeled "Mounting Kit, Required for Installation" with several items still in the bag. See attached photo. Hope the microwave stays "over-the-range". They started to leave without taking the old microwave. They insisted they were told not to take it. Eventually, one of them checked the order on their phone and realized they were to take it, which they did.

Extremely Poor Installation

The Good:
The installer called me the night before to give me a two hour arrival estimate. He arrived within the estimated time and was very pleasant.
He installed the microwave quickly, verified that it worked, and left in less than an hour.
The Bad:
I was busy on a call, so I wasn't able to look over what he was doing. Later that evening, I took a look at the cabinet above the microwave and found that he had only secured the microwave with only ONE of three fasteners that are supposed to be holding up the microwave oven.
He did not use the included template to drill the mounting holes. Instead, he drilled over a dozen holes from the top down, tying to locate the mounting holes. I recall seeing him doing a lot of drilling while I was on the phone and wondered what was going on.
He also did not properly seal the exhaust. The vent line is not sealed to the microwave exhaust and can be lifted up easily. I noticed this because I heard air blowing around in the cabinet.
Part of the problem is Best Buy. This installation is typically a two person job, but he did it by himself. I'm sure he was also on a compressed schedule, so he was under a lot of pressure to leave as quickly as possible.
Regardless, this installation is completely inadequate.

I was very disappointed when I got on the step ladder a week later to clean the cabinets above the microwave. I noticed all the frayed wood. I guess the technician used a dull tool to make the hole and it frayed/broke the wood. I was less than impressed. And he didn’t even mention it.

Very bad, I had to spend $500 to repair the damage to my cabinets, the person they sent to install the microwave has no idea what he was doing here are the images.

Do not use Best Buy contractor installation services. This particular store uses a poorly rated contractor that damaged our cabinets. They drilled an extra hole (no charge) and damaged the wood laminate without reporting the damage to us before leaving. See photos. Their focus is on speed of completion and not quality. Best Buy never followed up after negotiating with contractor for repairs.

Defective & Unsafe Whirlpool Convection Microwave

The microwave was installed Aug 5/2023 and it did not come with the Grill/Roasting Metal Tray that was supposed to be in the box. I could not get it from the Bellevue Store and had to make several calls to Whirlpool. But the worst part was the explosion of the heating lamp that broke the Glass Turntable and melted the metal/plastic support only two weeks after purchasing it. A technician checked the unit but didn't find anything wrong. A replacement glass-turntable was sent to me, and four days after using it (Sept 17/2023), it was also broken by an intense light from the heating unit that also melted the metal/plastic support for the turntable. A technician is scheduled to come Oct 23/2023 to check the microwave. THIS IS UNBELIVABLE AND NOT ACCEPTABLE!!. IT IS UNSAFE and I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THE MICROWAVE FOR THREE MONTHS AFTER BUYING IT!!. IT SHOULD BE REPLACED!!!
