    Very bad, I had to spend $500 to repair the damage to my cabinets, the person they sent to install the microwave has no idea what he was doing here are the images.

    Showed up late. Rushed the job. 15 minutes in our home total (start to finish) 15 minutes from new premium LG studio microwave being in the sealed box to completed install and 2 installers exiting the home. Rushed job. Damaged shelf inside our brand new cabinets. Did not properly secure microwave to the wall bracket. No care for the product or cabinets whatsoever.

    The installation of the microwave was badly done. The installer measured incorrectly and had to drill extra holes, one of which ended up being too large and I later repaired it myself with wood putty. They were in a hurry and did not clean up any of the mess. They also put some scratches on the adjacent cabinets.

    Unprofessional, been waiting for appliances since October 29th it's now December 7 2024 i had to throw all food away. They delivery service sucks. Best buy shouldn't sell things not in stock 2 1/2 months is too long to be with out cooking .

    I'm rating this low because they were supposed to install my microwave AND dishwasher. I ended up paying my own contractor to install it because even though my total tech was suppose to give me free installation...they looked for the smallest reason to not be able to install it.

    Third Party Installation Sucks

    The microwave was installed by one person, who was a third party vendor. The installation was supposed to include converting the vent hood wiring to a plug. The installer said he didn't do electrical work. Best Buy was contacted twice to have someone from the third party organization return. This never happened. Eventually, I had to pay an electrician to install the plug. The microwave did not work at all during this time. The second issue is that the vents are located at the top of the microwave. The installer, installed the microwave so that the vents are covered by the upper cabinet doors. This has caused issues when cooking because the fans are virtually useless. I'm concerned now about damage to the cabinets as a result. According to the installation guide for the microwave: for deeper cabinets, a bump out kit was needed. This is apparently an extra part that has to be ordered from Whirlpool. No one mentioned this as option at the time of purchase nor at the time of installation. Now I'm trying to determine if I should throw this microwave away and purchase something that's either larger or has a better venting system.

    The microwave has not been delivered or installed. I have paid for both. Purchase was made for an LG stove, LG dishwasher and LG microwave on Feb 20,2022. The delivery date was scheduled for April 4. They delivered and installed the stove (which had a big dent on the side) on April 4 but did not deliver or install the microwave or the dishwasher which had already been paid for. The installer put in the system that all three appliances had been installed. When I called customer service, they had to set up a new delivery date for the two appliances which is April 7 but the first install service available is April 29. I have bought two complete sets of LG large appliances from Best Buy in the last two years but with this service, I will not ever purchase anything from Best Buy again.

    Installer Damaged our Cabinetry

    The installer arrived on time and brought an assistant. They were polite and seemed professional. They pulled off the decorative trim and removed the old microwave quickly. They put the new one in and attached the vent without a problem. However, things turned around when he started shooting a nail gun to reattach the trim that he had removed. 4 of the nails came out through the face of the cabinetry. You would think that he would have corrected his aim after seeing the first one come through the face. He did see it because I saw him immediately rub his finger over it as if to wish it away. But no! He proceeded to quickly shoot the others so that he could wrap up this job and make his getaway. One of those nail tips is in a hazardous location near our spice shelf and everyone needs to be careful not to get snagged by it when they reach in the cabinet. WE are extremely disappointed by this Best Buy service.

    My contractor had to remove the microwave to put in my backsplash, and discovered the installers did not mount the wall bracket to any studs. Glad he discovered it and was able to attach it to studs and it’s secure now.

    Damaged my brand new cabinet and left a mess. Installers were friendly, just not a quality install. I will be filing a claim for the damage to the cabinet. When using a hole saw, you have to drill from one side until the pilot bit punches through, the switch sides and drill from the opposite side. This makes a clean hole and prevents the splintering shown in my picture. This looks like a mouse chewed a hole through the wood, not a hole saw.

    Don't really know yet. The door won't open and the installation was not completed as stated (remove packaging, nails/dust/wood not cleaned up, books from cabinet not replaced to original spot). Installers could not speak English and did not explain the product/demonstrate that it worked properly, etc. Overall a disappointing experience. I understand that Best Buy uses a third party installer, but they may want to verify that this party is representing Best Buy appropriately. We had to throw our left overs away because we had no way of reheating them.

    Took from a November purchase until late spring for the installation to occur. There were no installers in the STATE I live in; however, this was not mentioned when I made the purchase. I love the microwave, but the installation - what a hassle - oodles of phone calls and run around. The installer who did show up was great! Surprise, he wasn't a Best Buy employee!

    The installation service was paid, and the job was poorly done. I was told the microwave would be replaced as the installation was messed up. I received no phone call to re-installing another microwave. I finally called, and someone came out under the wrong impression that I needed it installed. The person saw the issue and agreed it was messed up. He also stated I would get a call. No call yet. I am not pleased with spending the installation fee, and the job was poorly done and has yet to be rectified.

    I purchased an entire set of appliances from Best Buy before Memorial Day. The over-the-range microwave was mounted crooked with a gap where it meets the wall and the cupboard above it won't open correctly anymore. I did not have either issue with the old one. It's now the 3rd of July and this isn't resolved. I was told that the company that Best Buy uses for installation has only one installer so they can't send someone else out to fix it. I don't live in a rural area and I could find 50+ installers in the phone book. The geek squad employee that delivered the refrigerator even commented about what a poor installation job it was. I don't see myself buying appliances from Best Buy again.

    They left me a mess, used some of my things, drilled a hole they didn't have 2 that I had 2 have fixed by someone else, 1 couldn't speak & understand English, 1 a little, not happy with work done, plus didn't center it

    Very poorly done. Multiple people have mentioned it being crooked and there is a visible gap. This is a high end appliance. Dissapointed.

    The installer did a bad job and destroyed both the new microwave and the filler trim kit I purchased for it... Had to have a 3rd party installer not related to Geek Squad reinstall a new microwave and filler frame kit had to be purchased which is being covered by Best Buy's Insurance Company, Sedgewick for $360.. Needs retraining or termination for what he did in my kitchen.
