A fun and different "horror" film for todayh, but if you play video games, the plot is not original. It's Wolfenstein in Hollywood. They probably could have just called it Wolfenstein and it would've made it as one ot the best videogame movies ever made. Audio and Visuals excellsent and entertaining for sure!

This movie was surprisingly good!! I would call it an action/horror movie. It has a pretty good storyline with lots of good graphics and a strong storyline. I personally enjoyed the movie and the feel of the movie. Worth seeing if you’re into war movies/action and definitely if you’re into horror movies.

I did not know anything about this movie going in and was pleasantly surprised. The opening 20 minutes are really intense and sound incredible. Lots of fun stuff in this one. Try not to watch the trailer until after you've seen the movie to keep the surprises intact. Good times.

Of course, watched a trailer or two, and read a couple of reviews, but after watching it, REALLY liked it because wasn’t was I was expecting. Kind of two different movies. Best example is From Dusk Til Dawn. If you have seen it then you will understand what I mean.

I saw this in theaters and was blown away, so I decided to get this with some rewards certificates, and it blew me away again! I didn't recognize most of the actors, but everything is very well done and looks fantastic, with a unique story. Great suspense, action, thrills and chills!

Excellent movie. From the cinematography to the action sequences, this is an entertaining movie. The Overlord 4K Blu-ray set also has excellent video quality and a powerful, and exciting audio soundtrack. Highly recommended if you have a good 4K TV and a surround sound system to show off on.

For another WW II film, this story line keeps your attention up and looking around for interesting details. I feel the acting could have been a bit better, but the story line delivers a very interesting perspective of things to think about and be entertained.

I like war movies. And this movie was well done. The "twist" was great. Didn't like the music they chose for the end credits though. It was completely out of place. Disappointed that there wasn't a steelbook version of this movie. Oh well. Redeem your code on Movies Anywhere.

Unusually entertaining, unlike any war movie I have ever seen... This film is full of surprizes from start to finish and on Blu-Ray to boot. A great add to my war film collection, I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys great special effects !!! No more to say.

I went into this movie dark, and was pleasantly surprised. It has a good Grindhouse feel to it. If you like man on a mission/horror films, you will probably dig this. Pretty good flick that can handle a rewatch. Special Effects were solid, so was the acting.

Fun popcorn flick. Just pop it in and enjoy. I’ve seen a few reviewers that apparently thought this was a accurate portrayal of WWII, which is just stupid!! If you’ve seen a trailer for this you know that it’s not supposed to be serious.

Though I’m still not sure I’m a fan of this hyper-realistic Revenant style photography, the movie is highly entertaining. Especially so for those who’ve played the Wolfrenstein game, as this is likely the closest it’ll ever get to a movie adaptation.

This movie is fun. It’s reminiscent of 70’s style grindhouse movies but mixed with an action packed war movie. The World War 2 setting brings some historical context and urgency, propelling the story and keeping things moving quick. Good bad guy, too.

I enjoyed the movie. It was pretty good. The final act kind of took a weird turn. Not a fan of the SPOILER............................ Monster fight in the end. I was hoping for a lot more zombies running wild. But, the movie was good until then.

It’s really a simple premise without any frills or deceptions. World War II. Paratroopers behind enemy lines. The soldiers stumble upon secret enemy experimentation to reanimate dead tissue/corpses. All heck breaks lose. I was sold and satisfied!

Here’s the thing about Overlord: I saw the trailer so many times I felt like I knew the movie back to front before I even walked in. It was one of those things where I’d notice something different or pick up on something new every time I saw the trailer to the point that when I realized the actual feature was opening this weekend it wasn’t that I didn’t necessarily care to see it, but I definitely felt indifferent about buying a ticket to a movie I didn’t expect to gain anything more from that I hadn’t already been conditioned to expect from the trailer. I tell this aspect of the story to lend a little perspective on why Overlord then ultimately came to be something of a pleasant surprise. In expecting a certain level of craft, care, and creativity I low-balled my expectations and was more than happy to find out I was wrong when the film kicked off and immediately kicked into high gear with a level of energy that was infectious. Stranger even, the opening of the film is the same scene that opens the trailer, but while there is the expectation of this being a full feature rather than a short preview there is also something to the altered pacing, musical accompaniment, and/or character dynamics that immediately plays into the level of investment one is willing to give no matter how much they think they know. This is a long way of getting around to saying that, despite the initial indifference through which it had to battle, Overlord is a movie that does very well at what it's built to do. It’s not an exceptional film that says something new or even anything terribly interesting about life or the psychology each of us project on its meaning, but as a movie that sets out to combine the terror of war with the terror of a zombie apocalypse and roll those into a somewhat hackneyed, but fully aware camp fest-Overlord accomplishes everything it could hope to and then some.

This movie is not supposed to be some oscar buzz story heavy classic. Instead you get some amazing action and violence, and some really awesome Zombie killing blood and gore. Very worth it, lots of fun, just know what you're signing up for.

Someone said ‘I can make Frankenstein’s Army better’, and they did. Has the budget to make it look like WWII, and gives you all the best villains to hate. Wee Russell is going places fast. It’s a gift we get to see him early on in a film that’s cornier than popcorn.

Great thrill ride! J.J. Abrams produces this modern look at WWII. Watching paratroopers flying in among the flak of anti-aircraft guns is just the beginning. If you enjoy the war movie mixed with some creative twists, this is a movie you must see!

Overlord is action-packed layered over a fun concept. It’s occasionally slow, but the mood and atmosphere make up for it. The Dolby Vision presentation highlights the film’s dark look, while the audio track is reference quality.
