Awesome movie with colors and sites, and the storylines. This is a great addition to the movie, The Wizard of Oz

The opening of the movie is hands down my favorite part. I kind of wish they had kept the majority of the film in that beautiful black and white and classic effects. The digital effects are meant to WOW you and they just don't. They are good for certain, but so obviously digital effects it almost looks cartoonish. Zach Braff as Finley and the transformation of the Witch are two of the best parts of both the original and this film. The movies flaws kind of fade away over time, which is good for repeat viewing. Very nice digital blu ray transfer and sound.

My wife and I saw this in 3D at the IMAX in Nashville when it first came out. It was mind-blowing! We recently purchased a 70" 3D Vizio at Best Buy, so naturally we bought the 3D version of the movie. We were blown away by the quality of the video and the superb 3D effects. We had relatives come to visit us from Baltimore who'd never seen a 3D movie on TV. They were overwhelmed. They said that the combination of the quality of the movie and our TV sold them on 3D. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this DVD.

About the Movie: The movie is really entertaining because of the visuals. The story leave a little more to be desired. There is humor, there is love, there is evil and lots of special effects. A good story to watch with your kids but not something that adults will want to watch. About the Packaging: What is wrong with Disney. You pay lots of money for the 3D version and you don't include a 2D Blu-ray or DVD copy?

I enjoyed this disc especially for the 3D, the technical effects and the great audio. It was fun to watch in my home theater. Some of the acting by James Franco (especially in the early black and white scenes) was poor, but seemed to improve as the film went on. Mila Kunis was a poor choice for her part and was more comical than menacing. Everyone else was fine and it was a fun family film.

A new take on an old story. A con man comes to OZ for personal gain and turns into a good man with a heart. Glad to see greed doesn't alweays prevail. No real magic ruled the day, but inovation to defeat a superior enemy. Good defeats evil again was predictable, but done in an unexpected way. The show was way better than the critics reviews.

I love the Wizard of Oz, I have the books, movies, etc. This was a good supplement to those who enjoyed the WOO movies, books, Wicked, etc. I enjoyed the movie at the theatre and purchased this as soon as it was out. I don't usually buy DVDs with online, etc, but I wanted this one for years to come.

This is one of the first 3D blu ray movies I have purchased that did not also come with a standard blu ray and DVD. Only a digital copy is included. As a member of Disney Movie Rewards, I was able to purchase a copy of the blu ray for only $5. Hope this not become a trend for purchasing 3D movies
