A harness that really didn’t harness what I wanted

I feel like I was duped. Apparently I needed to but this for the stereo to even work with my truck, but to then tell me after the fact, that this product doesn’t really work with because my truck didn’t already have steering wheel controls, it doesn’t. Why does the product say it will do this and why then does it say you need it? The explanation I feel was poor and it should be clearer for the consumer to realize what they really mean. Just saying…
