The movie was all about how peter pan became who he is. The costumes were really interesting but it felt like the movie was too short and more details would have been nice. the special features in the disc was really nice since it had more details which would really be better if it was incorporated inside the movie more.

I am recommending this movie! A must get for 3D tv owners. It's a great movie with a bad release date. The movie tanked cause it was released during the summer. And probably casting has fault to that also. The main actor is Hugh Jackman aka Wolverine. He did a great job don't get me wrong...but not enough of a cast to attract other viewers. Though it's another Peter Pan movie, but it's actually a really good movie. Get this for a good movie and great 3D effect.

Pan is a slick movie, didn't think it would be any good, but like a reboot of any genre, sometimes it fails, but this film actually is more enjoyable than the Peter Pan I saw in person in the play, or the awful show recently on the NBC special and movies (sorry Mary Martin). The "critics" are wrong. Give it a try, it also is coming in 4K Blu-ray Disc soon, the colors and sound are extraordinary, well done and faster paced than I thought it would be.

This was an exceptional remake with a twist to a classic childhood story. I can't say enough about how well the filming was done. The setting in which the film takes place, camera's catching little details, combined with all the Hi-def technology. Even dad stayed with the film from beginning to end!

This is a great movie, it has adventure, mystery, surprise and suspense. This is without doubt a new take on the Peter Pan movies of the past, because the new story and its more gritty feel and its real life relate able honest reactions. I think that all of these actors in this movie are super talented and really captivate the audience. Come and watch with an open mind and you will fly away in an adventure like a PAN does.

This movie had gotten terrible reviews from movie critics on other sites, I totally disagree with their conclusions. This movie was a great new way of telling this epic story. It was very action packed, entertaining, and well worth the money spent. I highly suggest adding this movie to your collection.

After so many versions of Peter Pan, I thought that even though this has a great cast, I really did not want to see another story about this topic. After giving it a chance, I was pleasantly surprised, it is well acted, great special effects and a fun story - give it a chance.

It wasn't what I expected but was good. Not great but still a fun movie. I would give it 3.5 stars but you can only give it 3 or 4. If you like Peter Pan or are open minded enough to watch a fresh take on this character its worth a watch. The kid who played Pan did a great job.

My five year old saw this movie and loved it. She begged me to buy the movie for her which I did when it went on sale. She has watched it countless time since then so it was money well spent. I have seen it a couple times as well and enjoyed it as did the rest of my family.

This adaptation of the original book is done to state of the art technology. We grew up with Mary Martin playing Peter Pan. She made all of us believe we could fly. Third start to the right and straight on till morning. That's where I am hiding now. Gather the grand kids on the floor in their Pajama's and Everyone watch. It will make one of their memories on a cold winters night. :o)

Interesting version of the classic characters. Hugh Jackman is great as a sinister Blackbeard. Garret t Hedlund offers a very different take on the Hook character (which some hated but which I loved). The Blu-ray looks and sounds great.

Much better than the theatrical trailers!

This was a much better movie than the trailers made it out to be. Yes, it is a story of Peter Pan and James Hook as they first met, but it was so much more. I liked the Robin Williams "Hook," but this was just as good, if not better. The whole family will enjoy this if they have seen other Peter Pan movies (and like live action as opposed to just animation).

At first I wasn't sure about buying this movie, after all how many times can they make Peter Pan? As it turns out it was fairly good. It had a unique take on the old classic. It was kind of a prequel to the original. It was worth the buy.

I got this mainly for my 8 year old daughter since she has been a lifelong fan of the animated Peter Pan Disney films. I didn't get a chance to watch it with her, but she had a friend over, and they both went on and on about how much they loved watching it. Now they watch it at least once a week together. Highly recommended if you have children :)

Different twist on the Peter Pan story with my favorite star Hugh Jackman, whom is always superb. Pacing is very fast but at some points painfully slow. Remember this is childs film so its Cheesy but still Fun.

This movie regardless of how it performed at the box office was a pleasant surprise. Some decent graphics and action scenes and a different take on the characters this time around. Def worth a watch and our kids really enjoyed it

This is a different spin on the Disney Peter Pan movie. The movie takes a different approach on how Peter comes to be part of the lost boys. Great story line and interesting twist on the Disney version. Great family movie.

Sparks imagination, despite stereotyping I can understand the issues other reviewers had with stereotyping, it really does stand out that this is an OLD movie. However, our little one gains a lot from the imagination part of the Peter Pan both book and the movie and we love them for that reason. The stereotypes will be over you

Pan was pretty much a flop in theaters, I believe. However, I enjoyed the story and the sets - especially in 3D. I do wish there was more tie-in to the Peter Pan everyone already knows (this is a prequel). In this respect it almost felt as Prometheus did to Alien - but far more successfully done than that one was, to me.

Pan for me began gradually with a medium paced to a more adventurous journey, making the movie more enjoyable to watch in the latter of the movie. I prefer this version of pan for older kids to adults.
