Not what i expected at all, a new story that will become a favorite after the first viewing. Loved the charactors the songs the humor and definately hoping that they make a part 2. Ive watched this many times already and am sure will watch it more with the grand children. A classic in the making.

This movie is yet another take on the peter pan story but this on is set where it all began. This movie tells the story of how peter got to neverland, learned to fly, and even met some familiar characters along the way. Mixed with some great songs from the 80's. I highly recommend checking this one out.

I must admit, I had no interest in seeing this movie. However, my daughter had me watching this with her. I must say, I was completely surprised by this movie. It is far better than expected and the breathtakingly fresh take on this movie was revitalizing. It's a great family movie. I recommend this to anyone.

    Looks Great, but Movie Stinks

Pan is utterly forgettable. There is no reason for this re-imagined and retooled version to exist beyond Warner Bros. attempting to get in on the current trend of turning classic fairy tales and more specifically, classic animated Disney films, into some kind of live-action confection. What doesn't work here though is the fact the Peter Pan story has been told so many times before and given we've all likely seen at least two iterations of J.M. Barrie's story (even the kids this movie is targeting will have seen Disney's 1953 adventure countless times) there is nowhere for this film to go that doesn't feel like it's either retreading familiar ground or desperately stretching. Unfortunately, the latter is what director Joe Wright's (Atonement, Hanna) new film does as it options to go back to the beginning and tell us the now obligatory origin story that basically covers all the stuff that happens before all the good stuff happens. The real issue here though is in the script from writer Jason Fuchs who contributed to the last Ice Age film and is the sole screenwriter on the upcoming Wonder Woman feature (not instilling a lot of faith there). There is a lot going on here which only creates more and more issues for the film as it goes on, but the source of each of these issues seems to stem from the main issue of the base story never truly recognizing itself. Each scene is strewn together with no connecting strands, no substance and thus nothing for the next scene to build upon. It's as if Fuchs was figuring out the story for himself as he went along and once he was done, never bothered to go back and write a second draft. Once upon a time I would have killed to see Wright take on huge, fantastical material such as this, but in his first big-budget studio effort the director has delivered what couldn't be a more underwhelming and, like I said in the beginning, forgettable experience.

On a random Friday night, my family sat down expecting to sit through a movie, texting and ignoring it, and instead we were all enthralled and captured by an incredibly wrought, well written, and exciting re-imagining of the the Peter Pan and Captain Hook legend.

This movie is a feast for the eyes and the senses. It's a different take on the Peter Pan story. The eye-catching scenery, the outstanding cinematography, and exceptional acting make this a must-see film. This is a movie I can watch again and again just to pick up more plot points. Great family film!

Most people might expect something more along the original tale, but I knew going it that it was different. The difference is a unique story with same characters but a fun adventure and sweet ending.

Bought this for my kiddo, went to see it in theaters when it came out. Good movie, I feel the scene where they sing "teen spirit" was corny and unnecessary, but my 9-yr old loved the movie

Don't judge by hearsay from others! I went into this movie with very low expectations based on reviews I had heard from others and was shocked throughout the whole movie because it was fantastic!

Don't expect to watch another movie about the classic Peter Pan. This is another story, a decent one, a very colorful one. I liked it but they sang a Nirvana song when they really shouldn't lol.

I have seen lots of movies depicting the story of Peter Pan. I love the way this one explained the origin of Peter Pan. I love the vibrate scenery and deliriously delightful music from the 80's.

A different version of the Peter Pan story, with some good visuals. Over-the-top performance by Hugh Jackman highlights his versatility as an actor. Amusing movie...

it gives some more inside story to the tale of Peter Pan, going back before the original storyline begins. Bringing in Pirate Blackbeard to the storyline gives more depth and opens up more of how things came to e, and why Great story told in very detailed cinematic ways.

I watched it with the kids and actually enjoyed it pretty well. It's lots of action and excitement to keep your attention but also sophisticated enough to keep an adult entertained.

This was a very enjoyable film and the writers were fans of the book. Even if you haven't read all the books which I have not you can get a clear idea that Pan didn't skip any corners and had fun telling s very rich story with many chsrecters that were done very well.

After viewing this movie twice, I really do not think it is so bad. Being a Disney fan, I think I can take what I can get when it comes to any Disney film adaption of a classic.

If you are looking for a new twist on a childhood classic this is a good way to go. Going in i was leery on how this would pan out (pun intended) but I was pleasantly surprised.

Hugh Jackman is always good, but unfortunately this take on Pan is a lackluster pass. Weak plot, poorly executed attempt at a new take on Pan.

I've always been a huge fan of Peter Pan stories and this one was a nice vision of the Peter Pan story that we've never heard, too bad it did terrible at the box office.
