The research I did lead me to these, as I wanted more than a typical surge protector, but less costly than a full out cleaner and conditioner. I believe these have a better voltage response threshold as well. The price was better on sale. Thus far, I dont think it has been tested yet by a surge. I'll update if that comes, and fails to arrest the surge.

Great Protection for audio equipment

I use 4 of these on wireless subs around the house. All subs powered down without any problems. Great timing!! The sub that did not have one powered down pretty hard. I will have to purchase another.

I still unplug my system when I know we are having a thunderstorm, just to be safe.

Protection for my Electronic devices

This unit is well constructed and looks like it will last a good while. Would definitely recommend to a friend or family member.
