I love this product! This isn't the first surge protector and line conditioner I have had from Panamax, and it won't be the last. It works great and has saved my electronics numerous times. Look on Youtube at the posted reviews.

This Panamax unit is a low profile so it easily fits inside most entertainment centers and can also be rack mounted. There is a power on indicator light on the front panel to indicate that the master power to all outlets is on, and there is a blue equipment light that can be turned on and off. I think this is used mainly for rack mount applications to illuminate the inside of the rack, but it is a nice visual feature in any case. This is one of those purchases that you really can't see the unit in operation, but I'm impressed with the value for the money, and after spending a lot on a nice home theater setup, the extra couple hundred dollars is well worth it to protect the investment in nice equipment.

The power surge works great. Highly recommended. Dolby atmos.

We actually returned this item as our Geek Squad Rep told us it was overkill for what we needed. We ended up purchasing a 4-outlet surge suppressor that plugs directly into an outlet.

Coming from a Panamax PM8-AV surge protector, the MR4000 is very simple and easy to use. I wouldn't purchase this solely on the idea you're going to be getting much better PQ / AQ, unless you've got atrocious power coming into your house with tons of interference. Then it may make a small difference by cleaning some of it up. It's low profile, doesn't run warm, no noises and works great! I highly recommend!

Like I said It's a surge protector, what can be that bad? Plenty of outlets, nice look to it, discreet.

Great Buy. Does an excellent job of filtering out noise and electrical disturbances. I like its digital read out but not a big fan of the big knobs which have lights and controls.

I had previously purchased two Panamax 8-outlet surge protectors for my home theatre setup, and they are everything that i had hoped for. My office has more equipment these days. I needed to address the wire nest behind my desk. I decided to invest into another Panamax, and i am so happy that i did.

It’s a surge protector so until some big storm comes through and I see it do it’s job not much to say other than ... I’m not a big fan of the blue light that’s always on as it’s distracting in my mind if it’s set up with your other AV components so I put black electrical tape over it and from a distance you can’t even tell. I will say I’m not a big fan of the 8th outlet being in the front - if you are using it in a stand plugging in multiple components the front plug probably isn’t a full time option as you don’t want a cord visibly showing at all times. Think of it more as a 7+1 outlet surge protector in my mind.

Good Product not sure what it really does different

Actually the Panamax unit is a line conditioner. It both protects equipment from high and low voltage surges and brown out. Additionally cuts power to protect itself from burning out. Also maintains a pure flow of energy by filtering out line noise for a better video and sound transmission.

I recently put in a movie room and wanted something to protect against power surges and provide clean power to all A/V gear and this fit the bill at a reasonable price. I currently have a UST projector, A/V receiver, Blu-ray player, Roku, cooling fans, and network switch attached and all is working as expected. Good product and good price.

Those 8 outlets come in handy when you have your TV, modem, receiver, DVR, cable box, wireless headphones, and every other thing you may want to connect into one protector. It is so sleek and stylish you won't mind having it out in the open or on a shelf with your other equipment.

With my recent purchase, this was a good investment because I'm into preserving items that are valuable to me, so this was also another smart choice.

The panamax mr4000 is a fantastic power conditioner, before purchasing this I was having static constantly coming though my speakers while I was using a cheaper surge protector. The 8 foot power cord is just long enough to reach my outlet which is great for hiding my cables. What sealed the deal for me was the AVM circuit that is constantly checking the voltage to make sure it does not drop to low or increase to much, if that happens the circuit will shut off power to all my gear saving them from permanent damage. You can never go wrong with panamax they always have high quality gear.
