another purchase that I'm happy I made! it has a few settings that I haven't used them all yet! I can cook rice well but in my culture we cook it to the point that the bottom it becomes golden-red and crunchy, which I can't do it! in most cases I don't cook it enough or sometimes I burn it! I actually bought it hoping that it would do the job for me but unfortunately it doesn't, and that's why I give it 4 stars! but I like the fast cooking setting, the rice comes out better than regular cooking! about cleaning it, I read a review complaining how they couldn't clean it! I don't see a big issue with that! only the cover cap doesn't come off which I always moist a clean paper towel and wipe it! I would recommend it if you use all or most of the settings! otherwise there are simpler and cheaper ones out there too!

I've been eating rice all my life. But this rice cooker makes the best rice I've ever had — the consistency is PERFECT. The only downside is how long it takes to make rice (two hours for a cup of brown rice), but this isn't much of a problem if you time things right, especially since you can program it for up to 24 hours in advance. Well worth the high cost.

I was originally focused on the fact that we needed to have a rice cooker that had a timer because, often, by the time we arrive home from picking up the kids its too late to cook a pot of rice. So I figured we could get a cooker with a timer, set it in the morning and come home to a ready pot. That option is still there ... but the quick cook option is so fast we can use that approach as well. There is also a sticky rice and brown rice setting that are great options to have as well. We've only had it a month, but so far, its been an awesome purchase.

over time, it will become dirty and become a place for germs. wish parts are removable for cleaning.
