    Don't waste your Money

Don't waste your money or you can budget in the hidden costs and time when it eventually breaks for no reason. Bought this camera as a Xmas gift for my wife. Used 3-4 times in 6 months. It was handled with care. Then one day it randomly has the error "Please turn off camera and turn on again". I follow the direction and get the same error. Troubleshooting does not help. Camera becomes useless. No matter I have Panasonic's 1 year warranty...…. I get in touch with Panasonic and they tell me to ship the camera to their repair center. I am expected to cover the shipping costs. This irked me, but I let it go. Then, not until the camera arrives at the repair center, do they tell me I will be charged a $50 inspection fee to repair the camera regardless of the warranty. Very unfair to wait until now to disclose this fee. The amount of time effort and un-forecasted money I've needed to sink into this camera has been exhausting. You could not pay me 5 times this camera's value to have to go through the experience of owning this camera again.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we apologize for the frustration caused. We want to clarify that the inspection fee is standard practice for out-of-warranty repairs and is deducted from the total repair cost. For products covered under warranty, this fee does not apply, as long as a valid proof of purchase is provided for warranty verification. Please note that if the problem is determined to be unrelated to manufacturing faults covered by the warranty, it may lead to repair costs outside of warranty coverage. We recommend contacting our service center directly to clarify any concerns and discuss your options moving forward. We understand your disappointment and appreciate your feedback. -M Panasonic
