I am upgrading from my GH2 and wanted Great video (the GH2 was very good) and great Pictures too. I am very please with my new GH4 and still learning all new features. The menu system is much improved and Display are vastly improved. WiFi works but not impressive. My WiFi SD card works better which I can still use in the GH4. Built in camera timers and 4K video. Battery life is much better. Very happy

The GH4 suited my needs well. Records 4K, 1080p 90fps Slow-Mo (no sound) with no time limits directly to SD Card. F-Stop and Aperture dials made tuning the picture easy on the fly. -- I like how the JPG stores this information so when I review my photographs in Shotwell the information is presented making me more aware of what them Zebra Strips (turn them on 90%) was about.

Amazing piece of equipment, light weight and just feels right in the palm of your hand. I purchased the gh4 for its 4k capability and its cinematic quality video. The gh4 has exceeded all my expectation and for the price its definitely a steal. However, one little draw back is the gh4 ability to perform in low light. This can be remedied with a metabones speed booster both available for nikon and cannon glass.In addition the camera does take quality pictures and the 4k picture capture is a plus. Overall this is a quality camera and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased the GH4 to make short films, my main focus is video. The video quality is amazing. I purchased both the zoom lenses at 2.8 and the work well for me. I also purchased a couple olympus prime lenses that look good as well. Definite WIN for me and i price matched and got it for $1299.

Buy this camera for the video, not for the stills. If most of your work is stills, you'd be better buying a larger sensor camera with more lens options. Sounds cliche, but it's true. On the other hand, the video quality is really good when good technique is used. Autofocus is spotty with video, but fast with photos.

This is my first Panasonic camera. I have owned many cameras in the past of different makes and models. The Panasonic GH4 is of excellent quality and easy to use. I will be using it on an aerial platform. It's 's extremely light weight and coupled with the Lumix 12-35 lens gives you the versatility that you need in an aerial platform. All the reviews I have read prior to this purchase have been correct this is a five star camera.

At first this cameras was to much to learn, but after using it and learning more about it I got the hang if it. And I like it very much. Image quality is very nice and the ability to go fully automatic or fully manual is great. Done 20 projects with it and cero problems. Its a camera to really consider. good luck.

for photo I do not think it's so good in fact lacking in quality, but 4k video is amazing on many other brands dslr!!!!! it's amazing+++ video DSLR

This is a great camera that opens the world up to alternate lenses for MFT. Get a speedbooster and keep your existing lenses or go for the SUPER cheap FD Canons from days past.

I have been looking into picking up the GH4 for a long time now and since the GH5 came out price drops were pretty regular for the GH4 and finally pulled the trigger. Autofocus is okay, it does take some getting used to and some adjustment but it does work great. Slowmotion/high fps works perfectly and video comes out great all around. Photos. while not the primary usage for me, work great with fast shutter speeds and great picture quality.

This is a fantastic camera for people who want to make low-budget films. This camera is extremely user-friendly and can shoot at various frame rates in 2K and at 24fps in 4K. With the right lens, this camera can be used to make very professional videos. It is easy to learn how to use and is a great camera for beginner filmmakers as well as professional filmmakers.

Purchased the Lumix GH4 to replace my GH3 that I had for over 5 years. The GH4 is identical to the GH3 except that it has upgraded features that I really like such as 4k photo and post focusing. No learning how to use this camera since it operates the same as the GH3.

3 years on since introduction and this camera still deliver. I got it for video reasons above else. Feature galore with few caveats. One, no USB charging. Two, no RAW video codec supported. The saving grace is the battery that outlasts the competition. Being mirrorless you can put a $10 CCTV lens or a $100k zoom. WiFi controller is also impressive allowing for steady shots whilst on a stand. Rotating touch screen one of the best, period. If you rig this camera with rails, follow focus, matte box etc you are bound for some awesome stuff that outperforms anything TV stations put forth. Not kidding or exaggerating. If you do not believe then stick to your smartphone. This camera is limited by your imagination only not accounting for that little raw caveat. The 2x crop should work in your favor while trying to get close to the subject. As long as you treat this camera as a PRO rig used in films and shoot in the controlled light you'll never use an ISO higher than an 800. For best results always use a stand even if it's just a monopod.

Very great photo and video quality, a little shaky on stability but overall great looking shots.

I shoot video then stills and think the video looks great. I shot it against my Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera (shooting raw) and it matched up great. It is a small sensor so low light not great and DOF is a little more work but I love it anyways.

Unbelievable amount of quality packed in this 4K video camera which acts like a superb still camera as well. Razor sharp focus. Outstanding feel. So much value. And weather resistant. I asked several pro photographers who use this and hey swear by it. The GH5 will come out soon, but this is packed with value and 4 k is all you really need for the foreseeable future. The video capability is stunning.

This is my first camera and I am enjoying how intuitive its operation has been. I would definitely recommend it to a friend !!
